Visual Novel Fanfiction?

So I'd just played through Fantasia: Requiem of the Abyss (for the fifth...sixth...) time (I still haven't gotten all the endings ._.) and I was like, "Man, I'd really like to write fanfiction of this... To be honest, I'd like to write fanfics of other VNs as well. Like Frozen Essence, Always Remember Me, Re:Alistair ++.... I even want to write a fanfic of the first Fantasia - cause the possibilities are just so endless and I'm dying to explore them. I especially feel like writing a fic of Cain and Valen (I can't even bring myself to pair Valen with someone else after accidentally getting all of Cain's endings... *hides*)

I'm so tempted to go make a LiveJournal account so I can do something about this - just for the purpose of writing fanfiction of VNs. Of course, all the chars and VNs'd be credited to the respective creators, makers, and everyone else.... Simply put - disclaimers.

Just wondering - any of you feel the same? >.>

Unfortunately, FF.Net does not have the categories of which I'm wanting to write about except for about two of them. So I was thinking - if there were people who'd have the same mind-set like me and/or feel like writing fanfics based off VNs (with disclaimers as a necessity, of course) then I'd set up a LJ Community. If not, I'd just start my own LJ account purely for this purpose (and not a community). >.>

You could always start a Tumblr and accept FF submissions from people as well.

Yeah me too...>.< I made a huge load of fanfiction in the VN Second Reproduction so yeah xD (just wanna share)

But then... Hijiri's right, you could just start a tumblr account At least you'll be able to share the fanfics you made.

ff.net does let people add new categories (I don't know the exact mechanism though) which can be a good way to attract more people. But a more VN-specific collection is fun too of course

@Hijiri - I could, but wouldn't it be hard to organize? I would most likely need to set up multiple pages and get the correct layouts and everything whereas for LJ, it's more systematic I think.

Hmm, if that's the case then...just put in Microsoft Word while the story is still fresh on your mind, then when you decide to post them in public, then go!! ;D I will always support a FF.net writer like myself! Share it with us if you want

Last I heard about it--and it might have changed since then--all you do is e-mail them with the correct header asking a game to be added with release info to prove that the game actually exists and they usually add it.

@ludeshka: Sure! I don't mind. It gives me more chances to broaden my writing more ^^ Mm, I just did Raven's ending recently in the game, and man oh man, Ciel is AWESOME. I'm gonna have fun with this >:)

Hey there!

Try looking for Adult Fanfiction (.net) they were started because of FF.nets sudden decision to stick to their User Policy. Try bringing this up in the forums. they probably would be inclined to make that section for you. :3

Suggestions if you're going to stick with tumblr...

• Turn on Asks and Submissions
• Use Readmores for longer fics
• Get rid of/use a different audio player (I suggest Billy or this flash .mp3 player). I'm not sure if a set list of tracks would be appropriate for all VN fics (unless you're only going to do Fantasia games), and if you must keep it you should turn off the autoplay
• Tag appropriately. Vague tags like "Cain" won't help fellow fans find the post easily. I suggest using the full title of the game (Fantasia: Requiem of the Abyss in this case) as the first tag to ensure it pops up in the tag
• Also stick to 5 tags to get your post out there. Any tags after that don't count, but you can use them for organization

Is this a main or a side blog, out of curiosity?
