Sakura!

#1 Post by chronoluminaire » Tue Mar 06, 2007 6:45 am

Ah, the sakura are out this year again...

I feel so lucky to be in a town where my regular cycle to work each morning takes me past twenty or thirty cherry trees. This means that every spring, for three or four fleeting weeks, I get to ride past beautiful sakura blossoms in all shades of pink. They're delightfully evocative, nostalgic even, due to the wonderful romantic associations from any number of anime or ren'ai games (most especially Season of the Sakura). Truly, in the spring a young man's fancy doth indeed lightly turn to thoughts of love.

(It also helps that two years ago, my then-girlfriend (now wife) and I went walking through a sakura-lined avenue and embraced under a tree in full blossom.)

And it's a superb month to be writing a NaNoRenO game :D

Does anyone else have any sakura coming out near them at the moment, or any fond memories of sakura?
I released 3 VNs, many moons ago: Elven Relations (IntRenAiMo 2007), When I Rule The World (NaNoRenO 2005), and Cloud Fairy (the Cute Light & Fluffy Project, 2009).
More recently I designed the board game Steam Works (published in 2015), available from a local gaming store near you!

Hmmm...a sign of heaven...

considering gamemakers who end up getting married since joining these forums...

or maybe we're just suckers for romance :D
