High heeled shoes can be pretty , but painful to wear ( or so I've read / "heard"...I've never worn high heels...hahaha )
I can understand hating high heels ...but makeup? I love makeup.
( poor makeup...being called disgusting...hahaha )
Even if I had the body for it , I probably wouldn't ever wear a mini skirt ( maybe ....playing around...in the comfort of my own home... lol )

High heels often makes you hard to walk, and usually short females wear them (most of my female teachers are short and wear high heels).
I live in a village, and the terrain is not so good, so wearing high-heels here means that you're prepared for any risks
Make-ups will look good if you use it properly. (As my mom taught to me)
I won't use miniskirts all my life, because:
1. In Indonesia, law might talk if you use miniskirts
2. Bandung is cold

Don't listen to me if you have your own preferences, I'm just sharing my own. Realize that many men disagree with common popular cultural definitions of what defines beauty for women (In fact, if more women just did their own thing, there would be more diversity in beauty, imho).
Make-up: None to extremely minimal
Skirts: Mini (but not the I'm too Sexy variety, just short) to below knee length
Heels: Can live without em. Cute, non-pointy shoes are better.
Pantyhose: black or white stockings, I can just melt into mush.
Actually, this explains why I watch a lot of bishoujo anime and look forward to casualwear scenes. The girls there have good fashion sense.
The only times women in my country wear skirts is
1.) When they're going to school (the extremely long frumpy kind)
2.) When they're trying to be sexy in a nightclub
3.) Actually I've seen more dragqueens in skirts than real women
Jeans are supposed to be for cold climate right? Jeans make my legs all sweaty, I don't get why they're so popular here.

Now for some manly discussion ^_^
Anyhow, I won't deny that the typical office attire of the secretary is very attractive to look at, but at the end of the day you'd probably find me walking home with the casually-sporty dressed creative designer from the floor above.
Agreed (none). Eyes accepted for special occasions, not the face or lips.DaFool wrote:Make-up: None to extremely minimal
Agreed. Summer dresses and the like as well.DaFool wrote:Skirts: Mini (but not the I'm too Sexy variety, just short) to below knee length
Heels are evil. Non-pointy shoes is very well put, agreed!DaFool wrote:Heels: Can live without em. Cute, non-pointy shoes are better.
Gulp, not for me. I hate to feel nylon or those stretchy materials, *shiver*. It's bare legs for me.DaFool wrote:Pantyhose: black or white stockings, I can just melt into mush.

I didn't think I'd post in here but...
Make-up : I don't mind light make-up. Just enough to emphasize the good features. Lipstick must be pastel colored as often as possible.
Skirts : Don't mind them, since I like legs ^^. I think I'd prefer something non-leathery for everyday life. But leather can be sexy for some occasion.
Heels : None, bah! No likey pointy ones either. I don't mind sneakers (except those that look like people are going to bowling >.<...) and other feminine shoes. I probably have a pref. for sandals and other summer types (*likes teh lil feet*).
Pantyhose : Black or purple. While I won't mind it in everyday life, I still think it's better when coupled with lingerie :3

Heh, for once I'm in agreement with mikey ^_^
Make-up: None or very subtle or minimal.
Skirts: Skirts or dresses are very good (much better than jeans or shorts). Short skirts or dresses are even better. Summer dresses are great. Miniskirts are good. Microskirts tend to look a bit too tarty/slutty.
High heels: Don't have much of a preference for or against.
Pantyhose (that's what we Brits call "tights", right?): They can occasionally be sexy, but generally I far prefer bare legs. (One of the rare circumstances when I do like stockings is in combination with lingerie, as monele said

I released 3 VNs, many moons ago: Elven Relations (IntRenAiMo 2007), When I Rule The World (NaNoRenO 2005), and Cloud Fairy (the Cute Light & Fluffy Project, 2009).
More recently I designed the board game Steam Works (published in 2015), available from a local gaming store near you!

I feel an urge to apply a girly (yes I'm a girl!) perspective on the topic.
Make-up: Eye-makeup, most def. I make it colorful sometimes, but not over-the-top. And I just go neutral to nothing on my lips and face.
Skirts: I live in skirts, I really don't wear jeans or pants all that much except on the job. I've grown up in a traditional family that sorta frowns on them anyway, though it only really bothered me when I was 13-14 and couldn't get a cute pair. But now, it's awesome~ I've got my own style now, people are even saying I should be a fashion designer. Plus, guys have said it's easier to approach girls when they make an effort to look nice. I don't like mini-mini skirts and dresses, more like something that goes a little above the knee if it's warm, otherwise I wear the shorter prarie skirts with tee shirts and accessories (*fan of layers*), or a maxi denim skirt with pre-tears that's all the rage right now. Finding all the non-frumpy skirts and dresses (or something too 50's) are kinda hard though, something like this or this. Hehe, OK, better stop talking now.^^;
Heels: As long as they're not over 3 inches. And then, they'd have to be the open-sandal type, not pointy or anything.*ew* Haven't made a habit of wearing them, but they do dress up an outfit. But I prefer a cute pair of sneakers, flats, or flipflops.
Pantyhose: I can deal with fishnets and patterns if the outfit works, but absolutely NO nylon. o_o; Icky icky icky. Usually nothing works best.

Makeup is for covering things (like, oh, embarassing bruises!), for job interviews, and for the stage. Although I haven't been on stage in a long time.
I wear long skirts, not short, certainly not mini. I don't want my movement being restricted and I don't want to have to worry about flashing anyone! I wear both pants and skirts and don't really care as long as it's comfortable.
I have never worn high heels and considering my history would almost certainly break an ankle if I tried.
Hose? Um... they're really too much of a pain to deal with. Dressing up for special occasions, maybe. Certainly not something I'd choose to wear on my own.

I don't use any make-up, actually. I once used for a year or so, but it was kind of... "Building confidence on my face" would be a fitting description. So when I forced myself to leave make-up behind, I became more self-confident.
I like the natural look more, too. Besides my skin can't handle the whole make-up thing, so I actually don't have a choice unless I want to look even more horrible than in the beginning.
Minis... I don't like using them for a few reasons. At first, I hate getting that kind of attention from boys that me wearing such a thing would bring, and I think I would feel a bit cheap if the skirt was too short. And I have a huge butt too, so I don't think it would look nice at all. ^^; I would get some strange stares, at least. I always use skirts and never trousers/jeans, though.
Heels... I don't particularly have any opnion, but I only use shoes with heels in some special parties, weddings and such. I feel a bit too old when wearing them, plus I need very comfortable shoes because I walk a lot in the summer. All my shoes become too worn out to be used at some point.
I can't live without pantyhose because here in the North, it's so cold in the winters that if I wore a skirt and not pantyhose (or a couple of them at some times (probably sounds like "what?!" to you, but it's really cold, you know...)) I would particularly freeze... So yes, I use them.

I'm male, if that matters in this discussion.
Makeup: If you're 20 and have good skin, makeup is an insult. Otherwise, your results may vary based on how much you want to cover up/emphasize, and whether or not you'll be under really bright lights. Big makeup in normal lighting is a mistake unless you have really horrendous skin. Like, "Darkman" horrendous.
Skirts: I should wear a kilt more often.
Heels: Wow, lots of hate for the heels, here. As one woman said, "If heels are so bad, why do they make my butt look so good?" Heels are like makeup---they make one's rear push out, make one's back arch, and one's chest come up. On some women, they're a mistake, on some they aren't necessary, but with the right dress on the right body heels can be great. X-Files-era Gillian Anderson wearing 5" spikes and a well-cut Donna Karan business suit is breathtaking.
Pantyhose: I love stripey tights, but that's just so late 90s goth.

It doesn't really matter , I just wanted to see everyone's opinion but I'm a little surprised that it seems to be that guys here actually don't like makeup on a female as much as I thought they would
*thinks* Hmm , I don't like to wear much "girly" stuff in the first place. I consider myself a bit of a tomboy , I don't mind roughhousing as long as it's not from my brother..but I'm also very girly in that...*hates to admit this* I'm a crybaby. My brother is an insenstive louse about it , which is strange considering I've been a witness to him crying at least once.....
I mean..it's a female thing...I don't see him picking on other women about their crying...why pick on me just because I'm his / the sister?
Any way , I love jewelry ...ribbons...stuff like that ...but I don't like being given shirts that have "cute" little sayings like "baby girl" on them and I wouldn't like it if , for example ,
somebody would give me a hairdryer that was Pink.
I usually hate Pink.
I've only worn hose / leggings..whatever for special occasions.
And I haven't really worn such or a dress in "ages".
I just realized I don't even have a dress to wear right now
even if I wanted to wear one....cool.
I have more shirts than pants so I often complain about a lack of pants.
Hmm...
It's cold alot in my place but even if it wasn't I'd wear hose sometimes.
Hahaha.
I don't care if it's "late 90's goth" , I want striped hose.
Don't have any. Want some.
If I could find any cute hose ( with a variety of patterns and colors ) , I'd get those too.
I'm afraid that if I ever tried to wear high heels , I'd somehow manage to hurt myself. Even if I was standing on completely flat land. That's how bad it would be , because I've never worn high heels and they look like they could break easily.
Actually , I can't remember ever having worn a skirt...shorts definately but not skirts. Which makes me wonder why I get the feeling that I probably have worn one before and just don't remember....
Pants...best clothing ever.
I prefer to be comfortable over trying to look sexy
but then again I already don't have the body or looks....sigh.
I think people place too much importance on looks and weight.
But even I am like that at times.

I'm a really boring girl when it comes to this <_< >_>
I rarely wear make-up... too much of a fuss.... the most make-up I ever wore, was when I was dressed up as a geisha of sorts at a mascarade party. I didn't even have all that white stuff on, and still people could hardly recognise me xD I won a prize too, heh.
I don't like wearing skirts either, since I don't think they suit me.... and high heels.... I can't walk in them
Yeah, I'm not very girly

I hardly ever wear make-up. It takes a lot of time in the morning, and I'm not very good at putting it on, so I might look stupid more than pretty. As for a fashion sense, mini skirts aren't my thing since I don't like to show off my legs. I prefer long pants and dresses. Dresses can be a lot of fun to shop for, in my opinion, since so many are really cute. As for heels I would only wear them for cosplay. I don't like heels at all. But I might wear them later in life, when I'm an adult.

Oh , I love dresses and wish I had a bunch right now , even if I most likely never end up wearing them. Hahaha. People say you can only do so much with a t-shirt but that' s not true and dresses , along with just about any other piece of clothing , are the same. There's alot of styles , patterns , colors , ect. you can have with dresses and t-shirts. Well , more dresses than t-shirts because nobody ever tries to make more styles with t-shirts. But you can have alot of patterns and colors with t-shirts. ( yes I love shirts..especially t-shirts...I also love vests though I haven't owned any in "ages" and when I did I only had one. lol )
