Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
Some people think I'm a scary black lady or that I'm 21...I"m almost thirty but apparently don't look it. Not sure how that works. The way I talk apparently makes people thing I'm from somewhere in europe, only on the phone though, not if they see me. Weird stuff.

Going back to the first post, does anyone seriously believe in bloodtypes?
I'm type O Negative, the universal donor.

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
I think there's a belief in Korea and Japan that a person's blood type sorta determines the personality they've got.BCS wrote:Going back to the first post, does anyone seriously believe in bloodtypes?

And to anyone who cares, I've got a blood type "A". I just found out when I donated blood last February. I've always thought I was an "O" cause that was my father's blood type.

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
I believe in bloodtypes. Apparently, not all of it but most.
I once bought this book about a bloodtypes and most of it retells my history. It was also written there that B type people always gives others the impression that they were A. I always get those comments.

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
I'm an A blood type, same as my mom, and it shows....
I used to be misunderstood a lot (mistaken for a guy for short hair, Mom-bought baggy clothes, and chubbiness in 5th-6th grade; always angry or tired because of how my eyebrows look) but now it's not so much.
Though my junior year high school--2 years ago--I said hello and smiled to someone in my aerobics class out in the regular hallway, and shocked, she told me she'd thought I had mental issues--like slowness, retardation or whatever. All because most of the aerobics classes I didn't talk to or hang out with anyone... Of course I didn't! I was a little bit shy still in high school when I didn't know anyone well and everyone seemed to have their close groups--even now while I'm much more outgoing, if I don't know at least one person already I'm not going to approach a group! Seriously, who mistakes a shy person as a special ed student? I knew everyone else just about in all the advanced classes and drama department and was otherwise social. Not to mention, I'm not confident in my physical ability so P.E. embarrassed me anyway.
Though not gonna lie, my mom used to think I might have Asperger's. We know I don't, but with my past I can see why she considered that.

I'm lost; How do you mistake someone's blood type? Aren't medical tests pretty conclusive and clear?enta wrote:1. I am, from head to toe, a bloodtype B but everyone thinks I was an A. >:T

No, thet base it on your personality, how you act or you keep your things. I seem to act like type A a lot.
I think this blood type stuff is only known in Japan?

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
... That I am nice, studious, shy and timid. XD Maybe it's because I wear glasses and is a med student so people automatically thinks of me as your typical diligent asian kid? I am also quite quiet around people I'm not familiar with, but that's mainly because I am observing them rather than try to talk to them which come off as "shy". People tend to just do what they want to me and expect me to obey and not snap, but I am not like that. I can talk a@E$#@, probably because at high school I tend to hang out with some delinquents, but my uni friends never believed it XD Not until I punched someone in front of them.

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
People tend to think I'm innocent and nice due to my height. I'm pretty quiet around most people, but some things do blurt out. When I swear, everyone (who doesn't know me too well) get surprised at my language. I actually get pretty mad easily, which causes me to swear almost every time I talk. ^^;; Half of the time, it's just out of habit or to make a joke though.
A lot of my friends also like to hug me. So that invites a lot of people that I don't like to do the same. I get a lot of random hugs from people I don't know too well, and it really bothers me.

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
It's predominant in Japan but is also popular in other places including Taiwan and South Korea. Googling "blood type cultural" returns me many entries pointing to Japan on personality traits associated with blood type: [wiki] [Japan Today]Applegate wrote:Probably. While the idea may be interesting, blood typing often leads to discrimination: [Scientific American]
"What's your blood type?" is like an Eastern counterpart of "What's your sign?"

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
Apparently, that's an old news.
Most of the people I met were quite open about bloodtypes. It's just that talking about these are fun and they just really always mistake me for an A.
I think there are a lot of stuff about blood types on the net. But since in here, those were a hit especially to teenagers, you can even buy a lot of explanation books around in any bookstores.

Re: What does people misunderstands about you?
Speaking of bloodtypes, I always thought I was an AB ever since it got tested in elementary school. And now it's A when my college test it. Weird.
