AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You actually did it?! Ya know, inside jokes are something meant to be kept on the inside, ahahahaha. There wasn't really a need to bring others into our little gag, but whatever. I'm actually kinda curious to see who will sign it. Heck, maybe I should sign it myself, a way to kick myself in the ass and get into gear. As I told both you and others, I haven't given up yet, even if I was thinking of a rewrite. But my overdue nanoreno game comes first, no exceptions. Well, this was good for a laugh at least, hahaha.

...and to think this all started only because I wanted to play Fate...

Dude, look at it this way. You have people BEGGING you to finish one of your games. Some of us, who have to pay people to even play our last one, would love to be bugged like that...

Not EV...but hey...

(Sorry Drake, feel free to slap me)
Now the art is done, and everything else is on my shoulders... I'm pretty close to the end, so just a few pushes, and it should be done. I just have to keep at it (so I guess that means no Fate...).
I'd say let Drake release this ex-nano apology project, enjoy it in the meantime, please let him play Fate / Stay Night, after which he will be doubly motivated to finish Evergreen Valley.

Because even if Drake were as fast as Stephen King (whom I hear pulls scripts out of his ass over breakfast), I just don't think EV is technically feasible to complete for more than a few months. And denying him FSN for that long is cruel and unusual punishment.

You okay with that, Enerccio?

Uhh EV will be there quite fast if I keep telling him over Aim :D
Don't worry I allowed him one free half and hour a day so don't worry :D

For that kinetic novel... all I can say is that I can't wait :)

That is a good way to look at it. I will admit that the recent attention has been quite flattering, but it is also quite a bit of pressure. I wasn't planning on it, but I guess I can't work on anything else now once my nanoreno game is done...

But even after it is done, I'm not sure if I can just jump right back to EV. In order to wrap up this current project, I've been neglecting Nafai and The Elect, so he'll be getting my immediate attention after this release. I'll still be working on EV during that time, but it'll be a little lower on the priority list.

Well, that's not quite the case. I actually don't want anyone thinking that this game coming up is an apology. It's its own game, completely unrelated to EV, but I guess it would help to whet some people's appetites (*cough*Enerccio's*cough*)...

And that part about FSN isn't cruel and unusual punishment, but perhaps exactly what I need. The numerous distractions I get wrapped up in are probably the biggest culprits in the delay of Evergreen Valley, so I really should cut them down to a minimum. (I'll still be playing Fate anyway, though......)

(Oh, and as for the "slap you" bit, I'd never think of it. You contributed, so it's your project too.)

You can pester me all you want, it won't make me move faster. Maybe if you hire a few cute girls to help with your cheerleading...

This is IMO normal. And it's the only true reason why games don't get finished. It starts as a distraction, then it puts a distance between you and the game, later it becomes a loss of focus and finally one is detached - the game doesn't feel close, new ideas are already brewing and there is no motivation to resume work on the old game.

That's how they die. It's a simple mathematical equation of distraction being less work and more immediate reward than creation.

I don't think you can see it quite so simply. Signing a petition or simply writing "Go go, finish the game, looking forward" or saying how much you want to play in a few paragraphs is easy to do. People will write it for various reasons, show support, encourage, but cheering on will help only so much. You can see that a lot of people would like a lot of games finished - I'd like to see them all, quite honestly, because every one seems special, there are good ideas everywhere.

It usually takes something more than that to give the maker a decisive help - I'm happy that NaNoRenO was a factor in this, we've probably almost written it off (I admit, I almost did and I was completely wrong), but it really helped from what you can read in comments.

Okay, so after a brief writing recess, my little vacation from authoring after Starlit Sky, I'm getting back to work in earnest, and hopefully, I can get this done faster than that 700 estimated days. Just thought the "undersigned" would like to know. There's still a few things to be decided on, and maybe a few changes to the master plan, but should be smooth sailing from here on out.

Oh, and while I'm here, a brief message to Enerccio:
