Some questions about posting Visual novels

#1 Post by Kerny » Mon Jul 22, 2013 6:55 pm

Hi everyone ,

I am a newbie in this forums and i am not a native english speaking person so please don´t kill me :D
I just wanted to ask some ( in my mind important) questions about posting selfmade visual novels into this forums before i do something not allowed to.

First of all...Am i allowed to post visual novel games even if they aren´t made with renpy?
Because i see many games in here using this engine and i have mostly used Flash (For the future i want to use Unity 3d)

The Second thing... My games do not use Selfdrawn characters because i am not able to draw anything , i use 3D custome girl for the Characters and the environment comes from a few PC games.
Is selfdrawn chars/environment a requirement to post a game?

The third question...Due to the limited time i have i only made Short visual novels and there aren´t really pro like due to the fact that i learned by doing.
would this cause problems? (because i have seen only/many professional works in here)

fourth question xD... A few of my games aren´t pure Visual novels there are a bit mixed with RPG and round based strategy elements.
Is this allowed or are they only pure visual novels allowed in here?

I hope my questions aren´t difficult to answer :D
Greetings Kerny.

Yes, certainly.

For transformative reuse like this, we leave it up to the copyright holder to complain to the forum administration. So you can post it, but if someone legit asks us to take the work down, we will.

Not really, but we do ask you try your best before posting. There's nothing wrong with a short game, and there's nothing wrong with an amateur game - but don't use that as an excuse to just waste time. Do your best is all we ask.

Yes, as long as the games are story heavy - there should probably be about as much story as gameplay.
