It's looking like my panel will be at 8pm Saturday, a 2 hour block in the computer lab. Unless you've never programmed Ren'Py, it's probably not of interest to many people here, since the focus will be on making the first VN - basically, the quickstart guide with each step demonstrated along the way.

The last time I did this in a lab - a long time ago - I split the time up into an hour or so of talk/demo, and then an hour where people could try things out themselves, asking questions if they ran into a problem. I don't know if any people here want to swing by and help out, but if you do, your help would be appreciated.

What kind of help would you be looking for? Like one-on-one programming help for the students? If so, I'd be stoked to help out.

Yep. People still say stoked.

AnimeFest is different than AnimeRevo, right? Since several of my (online) friends are going there... I wish I can go to both, but that's really (almost) impossible...

Hmm, I live in the Dallas area already and it's been awhile since I've been to a convention. I may or may not stop by on one of the days.

AnimeFest is this weekend, and I know some people are already packed and halfway out the door. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

We don't have an official meetup time or anything, but if anyone wants to go out for dinner some night, we can work out a time.

That could be fun. Maybe we could do something before/after PyTom's panel.

My panel is pretty late (8pm), and runs for two hours. So I'd suggest maybe doing something on Sunday after the making visual novels panel, which is much earlier.

In other news, I made it to the Sheraton today.

Same here. Deji and I have arrived at the Sheraton, too, so we're totally open for something after Sunday. =)

I won't do the puppy eyes, but I'm also curious about how the conv' are in the states (probably different from here (Fr)) :D Do you mind putting a few photos? *Puppy eyes* (Oh wait, I did the puppy eyes! I hope it actually works >.<)

Welp, the convention is over. I met so many awesome people, and want to say thanks to everyone (you know who you are) for all of the fun times.

Totally doing it again next year.

It was a lot of fun! Once they're edited, I'll post a few photos of PyTom's panel.

I'm not sure if there exists a picture of everyone who showed up all together, but here's a picture of some of us.

I'm afraid there isn't. I'm not very photogenic and kept my head down. Still, it was an awesome time. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did.
