Upcoming movies you're looking forward to?

#1 Post by Caveat Lector »

What are upcoming movies you're really hyped to see, or at least are interested in seeing? For me, I'd have to say Carrie. I love the book and Brian De Palma movie adaptation (haven't seen the 2002 re-make and, from what I've heard of the changes, have no desire to), and I think this could have the potential to hit close to home for a modern-day teenage audience. However, part of me sincerely hopes the movie actually sticks to the point of the original and it doesn't devolve into a gore fest. The fact that the screenwriter is also the guy behind that Spider Man musical doesn't exactly raise my hopes, neither does the fact that Sue (who is supposed to be a bystander) is the one who instigates the first incident in the locker room. Oh, and apparently, the film release date was delayed to make the movie "darker". But something tells me it's the kind of movie I HAVE to see even if it's awful and misses the point. At the very least, I love how Margaret White looks!

Kat and I are looking forward to Ender's Game. It's also an adaptation from a book that must be one of the most interesting, engaging and powerful that I've ever read.
Aside from that, I, uh, don't really watch movies. ^^;

Hobbit part 2. Just to see how far they get this time. My money's on "it ends with Smaug", and then they manage to make the entire 3rd movie about how dwarves hate elves.

I'm looking forward to Thor the Dark World and Catching Fire. The former a little more excited about because I love Marvel movies a little too much.

I'm really excited for the hobbit 2 and apparently there's a new spongebob movie coming out in 2014. :D And the hunger games of course. Loved the books and the first movie. I can't wait for the second.

I just found out that the new Madoka Magica movie will be playing in my local movie theater! Squeeee!!! :D I thought the story ended perfectly and didn't really need any expansion, but I'm still really, really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I'll probably have to avoid looking up anything related to Madoka at all for the next two months. :x

This, and Hunger Games. Also, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. The first movie was entertaining enough, I am looking forward to the sequel.

You are so lucky, there is a 0% chance of the movie ever coming out where I live :( Though, even if it did I don't have any friends who are into anime to go and watch it with.

My movie is a little obscure, so bear with me here.

There's a Japanese novel that's on my "books to read in the(hopefully) near future" list called All You Need Is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka, and I found out that there is going to be an American movie based on the film coming out in 2014. The film will be called Edge of Tomorrow, not All You Need is Kill, though. I want to read the book and, when the movie comes out, see if the movie is actually consistent with the book.
My first completed visual novel, which is at 1.3, it's final version(woo hoo!): Monster Uses CPU 2
Finally at version 1.0: White Fog

Im looking forward to 'Ender's Game' as well. Its one of my favorite books, so im expecting a lot from the movie.
Im also looking forward to an announcement about a new 'Blade Runner' film, possible remake? or prequel/sequel? Im hoping for a
prequel/sequel type deal.

I'm really looking forward to Frozen! I can't help but be drawn to animated movies!
I mean besides the supervisor getting the feminist side of the interwebs riled, I think it's going to be funny/cute. :/
