Robbery

#1 Post by musical74 » Tue Jul 17, 2007 8:59 pm

I was robbed today at knifepoint by someone about my height but much bigger <i.e. HUGE>...all he got was my wallet but as my wallet has ALL of my personal ID.....UGH going to be a few very rough weeks I think

At least I'm physically OK..just....mad and upset at the same time that it happened

That's horrible! Did you get a good look at the guy and call the police?

I hope you get your wallet back or at least your ID and other important things.
Although it's true there are ways companies protect their credit card users from fraud and all ...
I don't know if you have any credit cards or not but just saying...I can't remember what I've seen/read about somebody trying to use somebody else's ID and all....if anything...

That really *beeps* ....I wish there was something I could do for you.
If I'd been there, even if it is/was a scary idea to chase after somebody huge...I'd of tried to get your wallet back for you!

Good thing you're not hurt. That would make things worse.

That's absolutely horrible! I'm so glad you're all right.

Information and money is one thing. At least you're safe. ;___; It must have been so scary. My sentiments go out to you.

Wow, that's really really bad luck >_< And I thought you lived in that small safe-ish town, too! But yes, glad you're all right!

Apart from the obvious - being happy that no harm was done, it's really annoying to have lost your ID things. Usually people don't mind the money, but the administrative effort that comes with re-acquiring all the documents... blah.

Well, robbers these days... there's no such things as gentlemen thieves anymore :(

No, not those cool gentleman theives who get to steal the lady and the night...

Kaito Kitty

will arrive at your house at 11:30 on wendsday to steal your prized collection of yaoi games

What, you expect me to send a note like that?

I get what you mean though- Once I found my purse had just vanished into thin air. I got my 20 dollars back, but I had my cool-coin-store stolen. that is now an unbuyable.

Fuck the theives and lets wish their worst!

I can relate, though I never had to face a knife and never lost any personal IDs (only a bike and a phone card ^^;...). I hope it won't be too much of a pain to get things redone :/...

That's terrible. Glad you're ok.
Cellphone snatchers and "switik" aka guys who rob you at knifepoint are also common in my area. It's usually not a good idea to try going after the criminal immediately after getting robbed. I've seen too many news stories and read actual criminal cases of people (especially women with handbags) getting stabbed fatally after trying to chase down a robber.
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)

Aw, that's quite awful. Though it is good that you are safe yourself.

If anything, it is not the loss of money that I will much scorn at, but the ordeal to remake all those cards stolen.

It's bad luck to be robbed. Hopefully something nice will come by to even the scale.

UPDATE: really should have done this last night but was so stressed...

Police show up at my place around 10 PM last night....WITH MY WALLET! Apparently they caught the guy and were able to get my wallet back....as far as I know he didn't get anything - at least, nothing appears missing - but it'll be a bit before I truly find out if he did anything or no...

Anyway, just very happy that I got my wallet back!

That's good news. Score one for justice! I would still get the credit cards replaced, just to be on the safe side.
