Re: What are you listening to while you write?
Literally anything. I can't do things unless I'm listening to something, so sometimes I just find like a 2+ hour college lecture of a random topic and put it on while I'm working.
A few weeks ago I got really addicted to the song 'King' by Lauren Aquilina and literally only listened to that one song on repeat 430 times.
Nowadays if I'm lazy I'll just use Pandora and have it pick songs for me...
Most recently though, I've been listening to songs from the last four Eurovisions. Absolutely no relevance to what I'm writing lol.

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
I try not to listen to anything with vocals
while I write, otherwise I feel like my mood
can change too much and it influences my
writing. n w n;;
I tend to listen to DJ Okawari, mostly
Coffee Break, After School, Luv Letter,
and Encounter.
I also listen to Lindsey Sterling,
I absolutely love her.
Instrumentals are my writing jam. o wo

I love listening to Japanese Music or Asian Drama Music like She Is from Kim Sam Soon. Sometimes I do listen to the American music like Just a Dream but only if it goes with the mood. If I ever try to listen something that makes the scene I am doing off, it ends up becoming bad

Audiobooks keep me inspired but it distracts me sometimes.

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
Depends on the mood and what I'm writing. Music usually gives you inspiration and I choose it to suit what I'm writing, in a way imagining how I'm going to put everything together. I always liked listening to Japanese music but when it comes to games, I listen to the music I will use for them which are usually already ready.

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
I like to listen to both Japanese and English music. I also listen to music without any vocals.
Right now I'm listening to Kalafina~
To the beginning, consolation, love come down, mata kaze ga tsuyoku natta, serenato, te to te to me to me, gloria, and kimi no gin no niwa are the songs by Kalafina that I'm listening to. ^w^

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
I listen to music that helps me focus on writing.
That would be an online radio station called "SomehowJazz." To enhance a calming atmosphere I used "Rainy Mood" in the background.
Recently, I found a neat website that have both features. Jazz and Rain

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
Since my game has a ballet setting, listening to classical music not only helps me get into the groove of things but also let's me scout for possible royalty free songs to use in the game itself.

Re: What are you listening to while you write?
For me it honestly depends upon what I am writing, but I do suppose there are trends. I generally listen to something like the amazing talent that is Tides of Man, they're an instrumental post-rock band that is absolutely out of this world: http://tidesofman.bandcamp.com/album/yo ... urageous-2 I highly recommend you do yourself the favor of giving them a listen, especially their track 'Mountain House'.
However... If I am writing for a particular character that needs a decidedly different feel to the atmosphere of their dialogue, say for example one of my characters who is a bit of a delinquent and a greaser, then I would instead listen to something completely different like this track from Squid The Whale, as it completely captures her personal attitude towards the world. http://squidthewhale.bandcamp.com/track ... eatest-way
