Is it time lemma soft forums got a new mascot?

The current mascot is so 80's. It not only looks ugly but also I think I can see her nipples or it could be my imagination but I highly doubt it.
Is there history behind it? Someone enlighten me why we should not ask for it to be changed.
By the way I am no artist but I am sure there are plenty in this forum who will design better looking ones than the current one.

You have a point that the logo could be made more up to date, but your criticism isn't very constructive just saying that the picture is "ugly". It seems pretty modern anime to me and telling a forum of anime lovers that it's lewd won't win you any support. If it was lewd it would have been taken down long ago.
If you did a search in the forums you would see that the reason she is there is because the forums were originally those of a single game dev who created a VN with her as a main character. The forums predated Ren'py and ergo they aren't called the "Ren'py Forums" or "Visual Novel Forums" and don't have Eileen as the mascot or some such.
A lot of general forums evolved from more specialized ones. For example, NeoGaf started as the Gaming Age Forums for a single website and grew larger than the site itself.

I do agree it's a little outdated, but I don't think changing the mascot is a number one priority for anyone on this forum. It's probably the most unobtrusive mascot ever and it doesn't stop anyone from coming here as far as I can tell.
We discuss and help each other out making VNs, not necessarily worrying about the aesthetic feature of the forums.

I don't think anime has caught up to the LSF logo just yet. Lineart-wise, maybe, but not colouring.

Thank you for enlightening me. After reading the replies I am convinced it is not so bad.

She's not bad but she is incredibly forgettable.
It would be really cool if Lemmasoft got a logo that people could actually recognize instead of blue haired anime girl #3045965.

Blue Lemma is not blue haired anime girl #3045965
While these forums are still called the Lemmasoft forums, using the Lemmasoft mascot makes a lot of sense to me. If they were the Ren'Py forums, Eileen would make sense etc.
Granted, Lemmasoft doesn't produce a lot of games any more and discussion of Lemmasoft games is pretty rare but still! It's history!

I know what you mean, but just because it's history doesn't make it a good logo. Most people won't have a clue who she is anyway unless they go digging for that one game Lemma did that explained everything. She's just not as appealing compared a memorable logo that captures the essence of making english visual novels, which is what LSF is all about now.

I think she's fine. The forum will evolve over time and this discussion will come up again. If she's not hurting and leads you to the English VN scene, why change? To make her more original for our time will only mean she'll (or who/whatever would be used to replace her) become outdated again in another.

I think... she just needs an update. :v
..
well from my viewpoint, This forum is okay as it is. I don't know how long Lemma been there at the upper left corner. >.< oh God I'm not even sure about the namesake of the forums.
How about an image of Eileen, and Lemma side by side for a change? :v well it's not like I'm really bothered by the current icon... but since it's the forum's 10/11th year wouldn't that
"naturally" warrant a special change/update?
EDIT
please do play Lemma Ten. Please do.

The question has changed from "do we need a new mascot" to "do we need a new logo". IMO, Lemma is good to be LSF mascot... she has a long history ;P

This. I think lemma is fine the way she is.

Considering she's both at the moment, it's not far fetched to discuss both. I don't dislike the character design as a mascot, just the fact that the image in which the OP was talking about does nothing to indicate what LSF is about or even bring to mind anything remotely memorable.
