General Con/Meetup Thread

This is a thread for people to announce the cons they're going to, with the intention of meeting up with other members of the LSF community.

The general procedure should probably be for people to announce the cons they're going to here. If a con only has a small number of people going to it, work out the details here, otherwise put together a thread for the con and start posting there. (Or just ask me to split the posts out.)

As a reminder, communications at a con are hard. So you probably want to work things out beforehand, as much as possible, and as specifically as possible.

And remember to have fun. In my experience, the visual novel community is filled with great people, and it's a really interesting experience to just sit around a table with people talking shop - something that's hard to do.

I know it's 2 months away, but is anyone going to Comic Con in London this year? I'm planning on going on the 26th (Sunday I think?) if anyone wants to meet up?

Is anyone else going to Anime Weekend Atlanta? It is next month- September 26th - 24th!

I went last year and had an awesome time, me & my friends are all really looking forward to going again this year

Awww, man- you're going to be at DragonCon!? Now I really wish I could go, but it's right before AWA and I don't have enough money or PTO to do both.
Do you do a booth there? I went 2 years ago and it was a really good time! I wasn't expecting that many people, but that just made it more fun, seeing tons of people walking around downtown atlanta in their cosplay

The benefit of having been this successful in the past year is not having to do booths. I'm not working, just touring.

I haven't been to DragonCon since, like, the 90s. I hear it's gotten scary big.

We usually did booths at Fanime but didn't bother this year because booths are tiring and I wanted more time to hang out.

Anyone one in Dallas (technically Denton) TX is welcome to come to CWC next weekend (September 27th). I'll be running on panel on media and production, and I'll have a table if you want to just come talk. It's a free event, and everyone is welcome to attend.
