Don't forget about the #renpy channel on Freenode IRC. While it is specifically for the development of Ren'Py and games using the engine, that doesn't mean you can't come in an chat about stuff you're working on in other engines!

Great place to network with other devs, get help with a problem and just generally make convsersation! Plus IRC clients tend not to be giant bloated wrecks of an IM program like Skype is.
