Rewrite Game, Technical Question

#1 Post by Armitage »

Hey,

I live in Japan and speak Japanese. But in my country are no Visual Novels or translations. So i would like to translate the Game Rewrite. And i kind of have problems extracting the text. How can i do this?

Thank you

Do you want to translate Japanese games into English, or English games to Japanese?

You should ask the game creator for permission and they’ll give you the script to translate if it’s okay. Most games you can’t get the script (at least renpy) because it’s encoded or something, I’m not really too technical.

This is off-topic for this forum. You may want to check out twliki - http://tlwiki.org/index.php?title=Tools#RLdev - perhaps someone there can help you.

Rewrite has already been translated by Amaterasu, who frankly did a fantastic job. There isn't much of a need.

Yep, chat with Amaterasu if you're trying to translate Rewrite to another language. While you're at it, please prod them about Harvest Festa! :)

Other people here would know better than I, but aren't the majority of Visual Novels from Japan and in Japanese?

I believe he wanted to say there's no EVN there.
