Re: RenTarot
I've to disagree with that: she'd be overcosted even for a blue creature... swap phasing with shroud or even just islandwalk and then we can talkPyTom wrote:Now, if you want to say that Mary is a 2/2 with phasing for 1 blue, 1 colorless... well, then we can talk.
Now that you've mentioned MTG, and back to the original topic, I think I could make an entire tarot deck out of Magic cards... although that doesn't mean I will do it

Whew...
It took forever getting all three girls done!
I have two versions with slightly different colours... Choose whichever one you think looks better. :3

Re: RenTarot
I dunno, it seems like she'd be better than Ertai's Familiar, which is a 2/2 for 1B with phasing and a penalty attached. Otoh, she's worse than Merfolk Raiders, which is 2/3 for 1B with phasing and islandwalk (and no penalty).herenvardo wrote:I've to disagree with that: she'd be overcosted even for a blue creature... swap phasing with shroud or even just islandwalk and then we can talk![]()
I'd give Mary 2/2 and islandwalk... since really, islandwalk seems an important part of what she does.

I was unsure, between suggesting shadow or islandwalk; but I thought the later would be more obvious, even if she could need some help to attack.PyTom wrote:I'd give Mary 2/2 and islandwalk... since really, islandwalk seems an important part of what she does.(And I feel stupid for forgetting it.)

Re: RenTarot
You're making me want to create Magic cards for all of the Elven Relations cast now... stop it! (Tohko would clearly be red, Yurika white, Asilana perhaps green-white (edit: on second thoughts, mono-green would be fine), Makoto black or white, Kei green or white... argh!)

I released 3 VNs, many moons ago: Elven Relations (IntRenAiMo 2007), When I Rule The World (NaNoRenO 2005), and Cloud Fairy (the Cute Light & Fluffy Project, 2009).
More recently I designed the board game Steam Works (published in 2015), available from a local gaming store near you!

Re: RenTarot
Another submission, another card...
Off topic: Actually, a 2/2 phasing for 1U is undercosted.(EDIT: I think there is a little problem regarding that. Perhaps I misunderstood overcosted to "overpowered".)

Off-topic #2: You just had to say this didn't you?
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)

Re: RenTarot
The standard cost for a vanilla 2/2 (a.k.a. a bear) is 2 mana. A 2/2 with phasing is strictly worse, so it should be cheaper. Since it costs more than it's really worth, a 2/2 phaser for 2 mana is overcosted, or underpowered. Otoh, there are some examples of undercosted bears.F.I.A wrote:Off topic: Actually, a 2/2 phasing for 1U is undercosted.

Re: RenTarot
Hmm.
So I did this:
So, here's the original, sized to fit the original 64x89mm:
http://www.eviscerate.net/stuff/20080216a.jpg
And attached is a resized, repositioned version that more or less fits inside the frame. The two lower symbols are still mostly obscured by the scroll, though.
...Scout reminded me that I'd totally forgotten to give the poor girl nipples, so here's a pair of fixed images:
[original aspect] http://www.eviscerate.net/stuff/20080216c.png
[to fit the card frames] http://www.eviscerate.net/stuff/20080216d.png
(Thanks to NASA for pictures of M67 and the Earth from space.)
So I did this:
...only to find that it doesn't fit at all well in the space left inside lordcloudx's frame without significant parts of the art being cut out (like, most of the Earth, and the ox and the lion entirely). :/F.I.A wrote: 5) The art posted should fit the size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches(64mm x 89mm).

Re: RenTarot
And here are 3 cards for your enjoyment.
(Note: Since the uploaded cards are rather not standardized, I will be uploading a new batch file after the cards are completed. So hopefully no one printed them beforehand.)
