Example- Game 1 is submitted to Jam 1, Jam 2, Jam 3, Jam 4

I've seen over several attempts when an avid developer wants to share their game to world along current jams available, while it may seems harmless, it could be seen as spam. It's expected for the jam host to play as a role of a gatekeeper to prevent unwanted entries that doesn't meet the requirements. Frequent occurrence is an inconvenience, I was wondering if limiting helps.
I would consider that spam. When I see instances of that I try to clean it up and see what's going on with the developer. I don't want to put a limit unless necessary. It's only happened a few times as I'm aware, so something that can easily be moderated. I think reporting the game that's doing that is the best thing to do. Also, since you were the admin of this past jam, you can moderate entries from the entries tab on the edit page.
I've actually seen this recently with multiple games, but the majority of the time, the jams are ones that don't really have an audience so... it may be harmless?

Well, okay. : D Things are due for an update on there though at some point.

itch.io seems like a really good place to host games though, with plenty of neat tools to make things easy for developers to do jams, bundles, collabs and all that good stuff. I'll definitely be trying to make better use of it as I go along.

I would say it's not a big deal because the submitter will eventually stop if not a spambot. With the existing features of itch.io, game jam admins can have the entry removed if they apply themselves.

i've learned about the site a few weeks ago and told my friends on twitter about it right away!
thank you for making it!

i think it's great from a consumer's point of view, i've yet to finish a vn i can post on the site to test it from a developer's point of view but hopefully i'm getting there.
i like that it allows players to pay whatever they want during the download dialogue, hopefully one day i'll be able to open up a paypal account from my country (or find a better service!) and give back to the great devs who made me happy on sad days with their wonderful works

Does itch have an API that can be used to upload games, or update games/programs that have already been uploaded?

I've been wondering if there is a minimum requirement for games to be considered itchio worthy? because I've been porting my old games to the android platforms and they are mostly simple one level memory games or record based.
another question that crossed my mind is what's itchio's stand on the games with adult content and R18 games?

I discovered itch.io when a bunch of people used it for NaNoRenO this year - though I heard about it a bit earlier, when they instituted the VAT handling system - so I put mine up there pretty quick too. My experience with it has been excellent! Just having a bit of analytical information, like knowing how many people have seen or downloaded the game, is of great value. Also, people have been surprisingly kind about tipping me for my silly little game - I mean it's very small amount of money, but the fact that anybody pays anything when it isn't required is a huge source of encouragement <:3

Saw this through NaNoRenO too and am probably going to upload our demo there. It's great to see that it has been useful for other VN creators.
