question bout adult games [answered]
Do adult games only go in the adult game forum if they have sexual content?
Because the game I'm currently working on is definitely adult in terms of violence and some light gore, but it has no sexual themes.
So when it's finished would I make a topic about it in the completed adult games, or completed games?

Re: question bout adult games
its not just about adult sex and violence, its also about hateful topics, high level of negative speech and real life deaths that should never be seen on the forums. these things go in the adult sections because adults know from right to wrong (sometimes) its also to protect young kids from seeing too much.

PyTom can come in and correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I'd think what you're describing--violence and light gore--might possibly be okay as long as it's not super-detailed and gorey. If it's super-detailed and gorey, then yeah, that might be pushing it. But if you're still not sure, you can PM the mods about it. And possibly even put up a "recommended ages" label as well. Something that would be rated R by movie standards would probably be allowed on the Completed Games section, just not anything that would be rated X.

This isn't accurate. We don't have any rules restricting the contents of the games that can be posted here. (Other than they have to comply with US law.)firecat wrote:its not just about adult sex and violence, its also about hateful topics, high level of negative speech and real life deaths that should never be seen on the forums. these things go in the adult sections because adults know from right to wrong (sometimes) its also to protect young kids from seeing too much.
When it comes to the section of the forum to post in, you have to decide if the thread itself can contain non-adult content. If it can - which the case for many adult games - then it can be posted in the main section, provided no non-adult content is posted to the thread. (The main section of the forum can go up to an R-rating, if need be.)
