A small celebration for ATP
Just a small mentioning of the upcoming anniversary of the ATP site. It will be 7 years (2001-2008) this February 14th. One may say that it's only since 2004 that ATP is making games, but even those years before, it has slowly formed and found its focus and a lot of the features from before are still there today.
And so, I'd like to simply thank everyone that was at any time a part of the team, especially people who have worked (or work) on games with us. I often can't explain properly what I aim for, and as synopses I think the games that I try to do don't sound too good (a good proof is that my wife usually does not like my ideas) - but I go for them anyway and to her and to my team members goes a big thankyou for that bit of blind trust, I really need it and I know it's not easy for people to work like this, that's why I value your contributions so much. In the end, I think all went well every time - and I'm very proud of each and every game as a result. And while working on them, I often made new friends.
Since ATP is still active, I don't really want to look back at what we've done. Instead, I wish my current team and future teams all the best in our work, hopefully we'll have inspiration and motivation for many years to come. Thank you!
I don't have the time to prepare something special, sorry, so I just wrote up a small summary of the site history, for remembering - also I have the original screens of the game releases as they were at that time, if you're feeling a bit nostalgic.
But again, no need to look back, we're here. And even though it's still a few days to go until the 14th, I wanted to mention this small anniversary now, since around Valentine's Day, I usually think about different things. Cheers!

Re: A small celebration for ATP
hee hee! I've got a few *private* anniversary artworks that no one will ever see.
How do you make your games? I see. Thank you for the prompt replies, but it is my considered opinion that you're doing it wrong inefficiently because I am a perfushenal professional. Do it my way this way and we can all ascend VN Nirvana together while allowing me to stroke my ego you will improve much faster. Also, please don't forget to thank me for this constructive critique or I will cry and bore you to death respond appropriately with a tl;dr rant discourse of epic adequately lengthy proportions. - Sarcasm Veiled in Euphemism: Secrets of Forum Civility by lordcloudx (Coming soon to an online ebook near you.)

Well done. Seven years can be quite a long time.
Re: A small celebration for ATP
Thank you, all.
Seven years is indeed long... I remember starting at a friend's place, who had internet (dialup), then internet cafes... and carrying updated files on floppy disks. And just learning HTML...

Congratulations.
Seven years, that's almost unbelievable. And so many releases.
Congratulations once again.

Congrats mikey! I can't believe it's been so long already. I just want to say that you along with the rest of the community here were the ones that inspired me to get over the bridge and start game making and the ones to once again inspire me to get back to it. 14 games huh? I've got a lot of catching up to do. ^_~

The memories are still strong.
But in a good way, of course.
The only sad thing is that at a certain point I needed to set priorities and trade a lot of the community for the game making... - but well, I repeat this too many times these days.

No worries. As long as you (and any other members who's taken a hiatus - like myself :cough cough: ) come back, then it's all good imo. n_n

Me, I keep thinking of the "Association Of Tennis Professionals" ATP rankings
Oh well, just about every three-letter acronym is taken these days.
eclipse >> hey, you mentioned the site on your blog, thank you!

np =)
It was quite surprising to see it was your anniversary in a few days. Talk about perfect timing. Must've been my sixth-sense.
