Re: Find a team for your next project on ludust
Does it use any kind of "brownie point" system? IE a tit-for-tat kind of thing where if you work on someone's project they give you brownie points so you can then give other people brownie points when they work on your project? Or do people just join whatever project they fancy entirely for free??

It doesn't use a point system. You can apply to join whatever project you want but it is up to the group admin(s) whether to accept you. People can leave feedback/testimonials for you once you have worked on a project.
The site is still pretty new - if this system doesn't work out I will certainly look to improve it.

I am trying to get the word out!
As well as programmers, this site is a great way to reach some of the very best artists.

This is really neat, made an account just now.
It's nice to see so many people on there helping each other!

This is a great concept and I hope it catches on. Small crit on the search members: I clicked on composers and felt it would have been nice to see a short blurb about what kind of music they can do, link to soundcloud(or deviant art/portfolio for artists) and if they were open.
I guess save me a click?
Btw I liked the 'game idea generator', nice touch.

Hi Razz and RokAbiel, thanks so much for for trying the site out!
@razz - That's a great point, you shouldn't have to click through to the profile, and then go back to the search etc. I will add that to my to-do list
I am still waiting for that idea generator to come up with a sensible idea...

Is this site for professionals, or amateur hobbyist projects?

Re: Find a team for your next project on ludust
It is aimed at indie game developers. The projects are mostly hobby/rev share at the moment, but the better and more professional the site becomes and as more talented users join, I hope to attract paid (upfront) projects.
I suspect a lot of larger studios would want people to work with them in person so getting them to use this site for anything more than a recruitment message on the forum would be very tough. I will be trying though.

I actually like the site, and I'm in it as well. I'm happy that you create the site. I meet a few members who helps me a lot with the project that I'm working on. It's a good site to recruit people. I think the community is expanding too, so there are a lot of diverse people looking and helping in projects. I have a feeling that it will expand more in the future.
Please keep up the good work, and thank you for creating the site, it's been really helpful.

Thanks so much CrimsonMoon - I am so glad it has been helpful!
I will keep working on the site and hopefully the community will keep growing too. We will be holding our first game jam next month - which I will be doing some special stuff on the site for, to make joining/creating a game jam team easy, and to follow all the teams progress.
We will also be featuring a project on the forums each week.
