EDIT 3: Upon "reading" the French version, saw "roman visuel"! This is really groundbreaking work here, defining the future of languages.

Enerccio >> Japanese should not be a problem (if someone volunteers). There is a Chinese Ren'Py front page, so it's quite possible - though these versions will have to be shipped with special fonts, I think.

denzil >> ugh, I missed that one entirely. Back then I think I didn't even know what a VN is, I only knew them as bishoujo games. It was on this forum that my understanding of VN, BG, DS and so on formed.

It's the litteral translation of "visual novel" and I think it sounds good. It retains the concept of the "novel" (text-heavy) and the fact it's enhanced with visuals . I really wonder if there are french people outside this forum who would have come up with other names...

I'll give the Japanese translation a shot, if that's all right with everyone. It'll be a good learning experience working with Japanese fonts in Ren'Py.
