I've decide to limit access to our Let's Hentai Hentai section to people who have made a positive claim that they are 18 years of age or older.

To gain access to Let's Hentai Hentai, you need a user account, and you need to set your birthdate in your profile. To set your birthdate, go to "User Control Panel" (in the upper-right corner of this window), click "Profile", set your birthday, and click "Submit".

The membership in the Adult group is updated by script every two hours. So you may have to wait that long for access to be granted.

If you don't want to give your birthdate out, you can also PM me or Lemma, and we can add you by hand to the group.

Mmm... While it is good that we're being extra careful with the H forum and all, I'm not sure just how useful this will be, seeing how it's really easy to just lie about our birthdays on our accounts. Ah well, but in any case, I shall enter in my birthday and respect your decision. :3

Yes, but if it comes to legal action, then it's a better protection for the site owner to be able to say "we only opened that area of the website to people who said they were 18 or over" than just "oh, there was a note somewhere on the page saying that they shouldn't look at those pages unless they were 18 or over". It's the difference between the user actively lying to gain access to things they shouldn't have access to and just not being challenged on it.

Well, I'm fine with listing my age, but I don't want to be reminded of my birthday publically (and that's what it says it will do in the user control panel). So well, I'm over 18, so could you add me manually? (don't want to spam your PM box with that).

Mugenjohncel, I show you as having been added to the Adults group at 6:36 am. I tested your permissions, and you should have access without any action on my part.

A question - what happens if you are under 18, don't want to cheat, but already have started a thread in the LHH section (or even a h-game) - technically, you can't get to the thread now...

You may need to hit reload, or log out and log in again. I did a permission transfer from you, and I'm able to get access with your permissions.

For some reason, PhpBB didn't seem to be using the documented behavior for permissions, which is to grant access if any of the permission masks is true, unless some mask explicitly denies it. Instead, it seems to take permissions from the first group for that forum.

Well, whatever. It's working now.

it seems i cant get in why? i am over 18 years old and i added my bitrhday.
