HTTPS version of lemmasoft.renai.us

#1 Post by PyTom »

Thanks to the awesome Let's Encrypt project, I've set up an https version of the Lemma Soft Forums. You can access it by visiting:

https://lemmasoft.renai.us/forums/

When you go to the https site, modern encryption technology is used to protect communications between you and the forum. I'd like to ask people to try visiting the new site now, to see how well it works for you.

There shouldn't be any breakage, but you might see a white lock icon instead of a green one. That's because a lot of pages on the forums use mixed-mode content, such as when people link in an image from an insecure server. We'll be dealing with that forever, but I think it's worth using encryption where we can take it. Please report any other errors you see. (But check that they're working on the unencrypted site.)

Thank you.

I'm on the https version now. So far everything's ship-shape. Thanks for doing this!
