The VN or The KN?

As someone working on a mainly kinetic novel, I feel like there are some stories that will just flow better AS a kinetic novel. I've looked at the essence of my story over and over, trying to find a way to fit in choices, but I just can't find it. There's a huge plethora of visual novels that work great with choices, especially if you're working on one that builds relationships between multiple people.

But I also like the kinetic novels where your next objective is simply to make it through another chapter. Those that unlock additional information as you continue reading are especially delightful, like bestiaries or notes on characters. It's not really -that- interactive, but if you're invested in the world, you'll take time away from the story to read more about the world and its characters.
