When do people start preparing for NaNoRenO?

I kind of want to join a team then do everything myself this year. I was thinking about remaking my old blackjack game. I've always wanted to add more scenes to the cards, but I never got around to it. I thought you had to start from scratch with no prep.

What I'm personally doing (since this is my first jump into NaNoReno) is planning what I'm writing right now, then hopefully beginning recruiting on Monday. If all goes to plan I'll have helped create a team and created a schedule before March rolls around.
