Vocaloid - a great software to create song
Just know software called Vocaloid from Yamaha. This is a great software especially for us who want to make VN with opening movie (with vocal).
I sure wish to have one, but I have no need of it though ^_^ But I'm sure there're lots of people who need this kind of software.
This software enabled us to create song just by typing melody and lyrics. The vocal will be computer-generated (synthized voice) and the quality is good too.
There are some song clip created with vocaloid in YouTube. Just type Vocaloid in the keyword.

Kagami Miku was adorable. >.>Samu-kun wrote:Everyone loves Hatsune Miku. Just ask Kagami. =w=
I like Vocaloid, especially Hatsune and Kaito. I still think nothing beats a live person, but it's great for anyone who wants to compose a song or mess around without having to get someone to re-sing it every time.

Vocaloid is still way off from being quite realistic, but it's still a good piece of kit for composers. My favourite one is Vocaloid2, Prima- the Opera Soprano... which actually sounds a lot better than the first iterations...

There's also a soul singer version available.

Man, I get really pumped up when talking about music! I can go on for ages, and feel the need to show everybody all of the equipment I like/use/long for.

Now that you mention it, yes, I also have several song clip generated by Vocaloid 2. The voice quality is far better than the first (The first vocaloid has very strong robot feeling in the voice). I just didn't notice the 2 until you mentioned it ^_^
