July is less than a month away.
SuNoFes is an online game jam focused on adventure, interactive fiction, role-playing game, and visual novels. (Story-based games) Starts July 1st, ends August 31st, annually.

What does SuNoFes stand for?
Don't worry about it. (It's Summer Novel Festival though it's not exactly Summer around the world)

How do I join?
It's hosted on itch.io so it requires having an account from there. If you're already registered an account, return to the jam page then click on the "Join jam" button to participate. You can submit a game as well.

Can I start my project now?
Sure! If you have any unfinished projects in mind, you're invited to use this festival for completing it.

Any rules?

• Takes place during July and August.
• Project must be a new game and have not been published before.
• Releasing a demo is fine.
• Polished works are encouraged.
• There are no "winners." Anyone who reaches their goal during the festival has completed SuNoFES, though it is encouraged to submit a game.

There's one restriction, adult-oriented content is not allowed.

It can be used for your project as long you give credit to "potouto" if possible and it doesn't have adult-oriented content.

YAY! I'm so excited for SuNoFes! I'm going to be using this to try to finish up one of my personal projects, Space Adventure Laika (a story told from a Laika's point of view, who was the first animal to orbit earth).

I'm curious to know who else is going to be participating! & looking forward to this years entries. SuNoFes is always a good time

I really want to join SuNoFes! But I'll need to finish up my current projects in time for it.

But even if I'm not able to make it, I'm looking forward to seeing what visual novels are created for the jam.

I'm definitely up for this! Might make something short but sweet, as well as a means to test out some new things I figured out I can do with Ren'Py. I wanted to join ever since I looked up what SuNoFes was, but by that time it was already ended haha, so I've been waiting for next year and it's finally arrived!

I have a question; are we allowed to use the logo on our game's cover/promo poster? I like to advertise the jam my game participated in, so I was wondering if this was alright. If not, then I'll simply write some text that it's for SuNoFes 2017.

I've been procrastinating joining this forum for quite a while now. Finding this jam on itch finally made me take that leap of fate. So hello everyone!

Is there going to be a theme or can we make anything (in genres mentioned above)?

Welcome aboard!

SuNoFes let's you create any type of adventure game/interactive fiction/RPG/visual novel. It just has to be a new game and have not been published before. Demos are fine too.

Well my computer should be fixed by the time this jam starts so looks like I'll finally be joining one.

I was just wondering...there's not a recruitment page for SuNoFes anywhere, is there? Is there nowhere for those of us looking to join projects to find a team, a la NaNoReNo?

Though I could also just have completely missed an existing one. Always a possibility.
