Yea more VN's are being made in the west and even more are being translated , still making one too.

Still, I wouldn't be too concerned about the market being flooded with VN's. There is a vast void of space for things that aren't slice of life romances. (If your game is a slice of life romance though, then you are right to be concerned =) )

It's super crowded because it's really simple to make a VN. To make a good/exceptional VN it's still hard of course :)
But I'd say it's not much crowded than, for example, RPGMaker XP games. There are a tons of those as well!
