How to track down the devs or the IP owners...?

#1 Post by hombreimaginario »

HELP NEEDED for some research here!

Does anyone know who bought C's Ware's IPs after they disappeared? Apparently both the dev studio and the parent publisher (Himeya Soft) either disbanded or filed for bankrupcy.

They developed Divi-Dead, Maid Monogatari, and Eve: Burst Terror, among others.

ANY help would be really appreciated! :)

It looks like MangaGamer is still selling EVE burst error here. So you might want to start by contacting them to see if they can put you in touch with the original developers.

Thank you for your reply! :)

Sorry for my ignorance but does that mean they hold the rights for Eve Burst Terror oveaseas?

No, it just means they hold the distribution rights. They may not (and likely don't) hold the copyright.
But, being the licensed distributor, they likely know who you can contact about that.

Well, I just emailed MangaGamer support. Let's hope they don't think I'm trying to step on their market or anything like that, as that's absolutely not the case...

Thank you for your answers :)

Well, 4 days later it seems he/they might not be interested to help, or might think I'm planning to take over their business or something, as I've got no answer whatsoever :\

Thats unusual as I sent them an email roughly 6 months ago and got a reply the very next day.

Try gently pressing the issue?
