BxG and GxB difference?
Could it be that BxG is from the boy's perspective and GxB from the girl's perspective? (Confused because some people are comfortable working with only one of them)

BxG means that the protagonist is a Boy.
GxB means that the protagonist is a Girl.
GxB means that the protagonist is a Girl.

It's a little bit more complex than that, the terms basically imply that the game is a dating sim where the main character is the first gender and they can date the second gender. The fact that it has a lot of romance is why people are not comfortable writing from the opposite gender's point of view.trooper6 wrote:BxG means that the protagonist is a Boy.
GxB means that the protagonist is a Girl.
If your game isn't a dating sim, the terms don't really apply. You don't need to write BXG if romance is not a large aspect of your game.

That's half of it, it also says that the boy dates girls and the girl dates boys. If a boy romances with boys it's BxB and if a girl romances girls it's GxG. In the event of a bisexual protagonist or a protagonist whose gender can be chosen/is unmentioned, there are no further acronyms. Instead, the game can be referred to with multiple forms such as BxB + BxG.trooper6 wrote:BxG means that the protagonist is a Boy.
GxB means that the protagonist is a Girl.
