Who is that girl in the forum icon?
So I've been here for a while and am wondering: who is that greenish blue-haired girl that appears in the top left corner of the forum? (It seems she appears on the tab icon too).
What is her name? Who created her? Does she has an original story like Eillen? Why is she the icon for the forum?
Just something I was curious about...

Re: Who is that girl in the forum icon?
It is one of Blue Lemma's characters. I believe she was created for a game that never actually released. One about a game show.
These forums actually were started by him for his development company, Lemma Soft. He made Tales of Lemma back in 2003 as an English language "renai" game - what we used to call dating sims before we settled on visual novels - that's why the word 'renai' is in the website address to the forums.
Since there were almost no English language visual novels, English speaking fans of the genre started to group together here on his development forums. At the time, there was no standard tool or engine for making the games, but creators and fans came together to give each other advice.
Eventually PyTom appeared on the scene, and created Ren'Py, the first tool to make it easy to create visual novels for English speakers. After awhile, Blue Lemma felt like moving on to other things (he still visits sometimes, and his name is the only one to appear as a bright blue) and turned over control of the forums to PyTom, who has been managing the community ever since.
I lurked for 2-3 years before joining in 2008. It is really amazing to see how far it has all come. Now there are community games on Steam, and being reported on by the major gaming websites ....

Hey you should watch (actually, read) the 2008 Lemmy Awards "Ceremony". You'll get to know her a little better.

When she talks about "Miko", she's talking about the main character of the Tales of Lemma. Another LSF girl (character) that it's nice to meet:

Thanks for that, love. I always enjoy these little, hidden insights. <3xavimat wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2018 5:53 pm Hey you should watch (actually, read) the 2008 Lemmy Awards "Ceremony". You'll get to know her a little better.

Wow, that was a trip down memory lane. I joined late 2009 and a lot have happened since then.

The character reminds me of Alpha from Yokohama Kaidashi Kikō every time I see it. I didn't realize there was such a long history behind the image!
