Stop using IE, then!
(Seriously; it won't help with the error messages, but if you press back in any other browser I can think of it will keep your typed text.)
In my house, I've stopped using it for quite sometime. But in other places (like my work place), sometime I'm forced to use IE (since the admin doesn't permit users to install any software). Well, beggars can't be chooser.

Hooo, are you also using Toshiba's Satellite as well. Yes, I also hate the keyboard layout (there's only one CTRL button). It's worse since I have 15" widescreen one, meaning should be more space, but the keyboard layout is the same as 14" one.

Nah, it's a msi windbook (10.1" ). The keyboard is comfortable in general, but if they just would have placed it between the ctrl and windows key it would have been much more comfortable. Possibly I just need to get used to it because I keep bumping the touchpad while I'm writing and ending up with writing all over the show too >_< and then I try to undo and get an extra z in the document.

well, (everyone here known I use Linux...) what I really don't like is when some programs needs this or that obscure library, forcing me to a net hunt-compile & install obscure lib-try to compile app-hunt for the next obscure lib cycle, all these compounded by even the need of a specific release of the obscure lib.... (aside the nasty case of matrioskas of more or less obscure & little known libs....)

One thing you could do is install Firefox/Chrome/Safari or another browser of your choice on a USB drive and run it off that at work .
I really like how the glossy screen enhances the look of my laptop, but the glare and reflection drives me nuts ! I also have a minor issue with keyboard flexing (only when I get really into typing up a story and start hitting the keys harder) and this one squeaky key, but like LVUER said: beggars can't be choosers.

You can turn that off, actually. There's usually even a link provided in the sticky keys message that should lead you straight to the page that turns it off.
Really hate it when my computer freezes up for no reason. I'll just be using one program, nothing's downloading, nothing else is really running...then poof. It freezes. Mouse doesn't work, ctrl-alt-del doesn't register...frustrating!
