Re: Has anyone ever played the .hack games?
Well, for me, I don't really mind with whoever join my party. Usually I just pick someone who have healing abilities or good healing items and let Haseo to do the killing (he's the best at doing that anyway).
In the original .Hack though, I only pick the cutest members possible at that time, for eye-candy (and ear-candy, thankfully that they retain their original Japanese voice) when I got stressed.

Haseo is pretty much a one man army, I'd rather pick favorites over 'practicality'. Items can fill the void of the 'healer' spot.
Kinda like how two wavemasters in the original .hack would destroy almost everything....except epitaph bosses ):.

Re: Has anyone ever played the .hack games?
The problem is I have no favorite character in GU (except for Haseo which I don't really have a choice since I'm stuck with him as long as I play GU). If I really stressed and need a refreshment, I just pick all girl squad (but it's just not as fun as original .Hack any more, the girls I mean).
Items could be depleted while healing abilities (SP) will recover along with time (if you're patient).
And yeah, Haseo is practically a one-man army (unlike Kite), especially after we hit the level-cap and acquire doppel's weapons (especially in vol.3 where we already got the third job ext.). And don't forget we could always ram those helpless animals with jet-charged indestructible bike ^_^

During my playthrough I had a crapload of items and that starter healing spell to spread around, so yeah.

I end up liking the haseo-kite-atoli/shino party and make the girl heals when the other two kicks some butts.
The marriages are all nice, maybe except for endrance. . . *coughs*

Re: Has anyone ever played the .hack games?
There is a comedy manga about all .hack characters. In that manga, Haseo is always arguing (to the point of almost killing each other) with Kite. And it seems that Kite also hates Haseo.
In one strip, the pacifist Atoli makes Kite handshake Haseo to make peace (because they were arguing in the previous strip. But Haseo realize that Kite want to data drain him if he shake Kite's hand ^_^

You mean .hack link? The manga? Only several chapters. The story is bad, way below .hack standard so I'm not really into .hack link. Besides, it lacks moeh girls ^_^ I prefer .hack legend of twillight (twillight no densetsu)

I love twilight so much. 'cept for Reina's brother complex...
"SHUGO!!"
I like the manga's story to the twilight anime.
Edit: I think Azure means a link to the pages. Darn tech terms confusing everyone.

Re: Has anyone ever played the .hack games?
Oh yeah. I like .hack game too. I played all GU games and only one original game (QUARANTINE) because it's only one part left in the shop.
Actually, I did know .hack series from Legend of Twilight Bracelet manga. They are so cute. XD (Yes, except Shugo)
