When I click 'Tales of Lemma 2' to go to:
on your main index page:

I get the following error page:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You don't have permission to access /games_tol2.html on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Ah, I see another post explaining this:

Sorry for having my first post be an complaint like that without checking
the forum over for answers.

(I've just downloaded Bolth 'Tales of Lemma 1' & ' Shoujo Attack!',
I'll post what I think of em when I've played them.)

It's okay if you're a man. Real Men never read manuals and never check forums - they simply ask ^_^. Although that explanatory post was just 5 posts down, so yeah, a quick glance should have done the trick, but then again it was never the fault of the Real Man, because that was probably the topic name being too inconclusive

Anyway... BL should maybe really consider posting a note about the game, an error page is always going to cause things like this. (And YES, that's my final bugging you for it, I'll shut up for this year :P :P )

That means he'll bug you next year. In about a little over 7 days now. Good luck Real Man. ;) :P

But wait a minute - how come Real Men just ask in forums but they can't be bothered to ask for directions in real life? What's up with that? Do Real Men's brains short-circuit when it comes to directions or what?

Ah, but you see, Real Men do not need to ask for directions, because Real Men are never lost. The actual question is why Women will sometimes think a Real Man is lost, simply because he has conciously and with all due diligence chosen to follow a less than optimal route to their destination. Why he would chose to do that seems to me to be self-evident.

Let's see if anyone spots this reference: Iron Boogers.

Perhaps blowing my nose every morning is why I have no sense of direction?
I mean, I may not know which direction I'm headed, but I never get lost. :) I always find my destination. I will usually somehow, unexplanedly, drive right to it without knowing where it is.
So, I don't need to ask for directions, I just need to keep a sharp lookout, because it's going to popup sooner or later. :)
Man's Intuition or genetic encoding from times when man had to track down prey for days and find their way back to the cave. Those who couldn't find their way, didn't pass on their genes, and there were no gas stations then.

Almost, but not quite, entirely unlike the correct answer. *

Playing spot the reference involves identifing the work that the reference is to. The work is always something copyrightable, like a TV show, movie, or book. (I guess around here, games would be fair game.)

You're disqualified for using google or another search engine.

In the case above, the reference is to a 1990s sitcom. (And not even one of my favorites, but one that had such an absolutely perfect reference I had to run with it.)

* For example, this is a reference to "The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy."

Speaking of late 1990's sitcoms, or perhaps it was late 1980's: What ever happend to BBS sitcom "The Young Ones"? I haven't seen it aired since then. It was stupid funny but I guess too politically uncorrect for modern television.

It's gone where all old TV shows go a decade or two after they leave the television...

... a DVD box set on Amazon.com. Welcome to the long tail, everyone.

Iron Boogers....wasn't that Home Improvement with Tim Allen?

That's the one. According to IMDB, the actual quote is:

Wilson: Tim, don't sell your stupid instincts short. Do you realize that people have a tiny compass in their nose?
Tim: I was never aware of that. No.
Wilson: Yes, people have a tiny iron deposit in their nose. And that gives them directions to magnetic north and since men have more iron in their bodies than women, it only follows that they would make a better compass.
Tim: Then how come I couldn't find the wedding?
Wilson: Well, Tim, a map is a little more acurate than your nose. It's also a heck of a lot easier to fold.
Tim: (Later; to Jill) I just got all disoriented, even though my nose is filled with iron boogers.

It's weird the things you remember sometimes.

Yeah, the 90's were my era. I would watch Home Improvement every day after school. Gave me a terrible shock when it ended.
