Lemmasoft Forum Icon
I know that this topic is irrelevant, but i think lemmasoft forum should have an icon, i mean when i bookmarked it, but the icon looks like a blank sheet of paper. So , i was just wondering. ^_^

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
I do like how Ren'Py's websites are easy to find in my bookmarks, so I'll agree. But I'll also throw in the suggestion of a face-lift to the forum in general. The forum's been around for a while and is likely not going anywhere soon, maybe something other than the default is in order? :3 (Though it's been this way for a while so I'm used to it ...)
Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
Though, this is the best forum I've found as far as usefulness goes; basically, the view unread posts etc. buttons are really useful, and it doesn't annoyingly mark everything as read if you just visit the forum (like some annoying things do).

This forum would look even more attractive with an icon (just my opinion ^-^)Aleema wrote:I do like how Ren'Py's websites are easy to find in my bookmarks, so I'll agree. Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
I do wonder why the forum hasn't been updated, to be honest. phpBB has newer versions of this software out, including a new default skin which would make the forums much tidier in a way and more functional. I'm not sure what version phpBB this is but I know they're on 3.8 now and I think this might be some form of 2.x so...

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
Hmm... If yours has an icon of a blank paper, mine's worse.
I agree. LemmaSoft has been very popular, and it deserves a pretty retouch. ^^ Maybe change the banner or something similar. And the icon too~Even though I have been here for a while and have gotten used to it. XD

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
We're on 3.0.8, which the admin control panel tells me is the latest version. We're using the old-style subsilver theme, rather than the newer one, mostly because this is the one we started with, and there hasn't been a reason to change it. You can enable the newer-looking style by going to the user control panel, choosing board preferences, and then choosing the prosilver board style. (This didn't work until a few seconds ago.)
I'm in no rush to change the board style, on the grounds of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." That being said, subsilver is being discontinued with phpbb 3.1 - we'll probably switch sometime before then.
If someone comes up with an icon than can represent us in 32x32 pixels, I'll add it to the forum.

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
I'm not sure that really represents us well - while the initials work, they're kind of small against the star (especially when viewed at half-size, which some icons are). And the start itself doesn't come from anywhere.

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
I gave the icon thing a knack. But I know it's an epic fail icon, so don't bother.
I was thinking of something techno or advanced or ... ergh.

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
perhaps something along the lines of this? The letters are too small, but it also shows the girl from the banner. i just copy and pasted in paint and re-sized, so it would need to be sharpened i guess, but it does represent.

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
I want to post this before you post the last icon: "Why not just Eileen or Blue Lemma avatar face as the icon?"
But it seems you already have the same idea too ^_^

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
KimiYoriBaka's icon could work - but could you see what it looks like at 16x16, since some browsers use that size.

Re: Lemmasoft Forum Icon
It kind of get obscures into oblivion at that size. You can vaguely tell what it is if you know the image. You would probably want to create a pixel face of one of the characters so that you can pick out the most distinguishing features.
