Hmm, definately spaceships (none shown in the current demo since I didn't want to waste days on modeling/drawing them). I didn't plan to include robots because I just wouldn't be able to design them, but I've fallen in love with the genre lately so... I wouldn't mind at all :). I'm more into big powerful robots than subtle Gundam-ish ones, but it quite depends on the mood ^^

As for a robotic inspired character... There is already something like that but I wouldn't say "robotic". So maybe there is room for a more cyborg-ish chara ^^

Well, someone hired me (I won't say who, wink) for sprites with a deadline 3 months away, but I can still take on one more project.

Here's a little preview for it, you'll know it when they announce it, I guess ... I won't tell you anything else, I even changed the filename on this. :)

I love pretty manga style eyes :D. We should totally have more sprites with pretty eyes ... (like Red Shift ...)

Yours at least have pupils, that's quite better ^.^ (pupil-less makes it all lifeless :/)

Droooooool... O_O
BCS, that's really great art. Professional. The outlines were done with ink on paper and then scanned, I guess? Or did you draw the whole thing on the computer?

I sketch using a tablet on the computer.

The thought of using a digital pencil to draw things directly into the computer has made some people's heads explode: "You mean you can make a sketch with a pen right into the computer?!"

The inking was done with Macromedia Flash MX.

I also used layers as well.

Some computer screens are heard weeping for having been scribbled on :).
And ohh, someone who is still on MX ^.^ *feels less lonely*

Well, not exactly... I do have a tablet, but so far only used it for coloring and retouching, based on my scanned ink drawings. I'll try scanning my pencil drawings next time to see if doing the inking digitally would improve the quality.

The one I just posted is not free for use. It is copyright to someone else.

I suggest WACOM. I acquired mine through Amazon.com.

Have you tried Flash 8? I was pleased with the performance and the filters are helpful.

Anyways nice work!
