Does anyone want some extra sprites or use me for sprites?

I have this little chibi sprite (face) lying around, fully animatable, with matching code and two extra little sprites to go with it. Her name's Mae, and I'm not certain if I'm going to use her for anything. I just made her on a whim. She's got short purple hair, blue eyes, and about 10 different expressions.
I'm also in a sprite-y mood so if anyone wants me to make professional-looking sprites, just throw a character sketch or description at me. I probably won't be making multiple-view or pose sprites, but I can pump out an airbrushed sprite with different facial expressions pretty quickly.
Particularly this sort of style:

I'm partial to cute girls and my specialty is schoolgirls, but I can easily do adults and males as well

.
Okay, I didn't post the code, but most of you know how to make composites, right?

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention: the zip also includes some extras like an icon, an EXE equipped with an icon, and a titlescreen image with the logo The Chibi Adventures of Zane the Pain. (Which need not be used, and was only included for completeness's sake.)

This is absolutely adorable. It makes me want to write a Final Fantasy-style RPG Ren'Ai masterpiece just so I can take you up on your offer.
Eh, I'll follow my SOP and not beg for art until after I have an otherwise completed game... but darn, those are like tare panda level cute.

I wouldn't feel badly, I make art for my own incomplete games all the freaking time D: ... I'm either an illustrator or a writer, and trying to combine the two drives me up the wall. It's either one or the other for me.

The best method for this is I suppose writing first and drawing second - since you can draw just about anything, you don't really need to worry about some things not being doable - so I'd say write the piece and then add backgrounds and art. When writing, you'll probably also have time to get a feel of how the art should be - the style and colors and so on. It's of course good if you can draw many things and give them away ^_^, but I always see such a great potential in them, so I do hope that you'll be successful with your project.

I'm thinking about just asking for a writer here ...

Me too :/... So what are we lacking the most here ? Artists ? Writers ? Developers ? *ponders*

TIME.
(And as always, I will be hiring someday, but it will be months yet before the script is complete so that I can whittle down my art requirements and make the best use of my budget!)

I have a better one:
Motivation ...
Backgrounds take a bit of time for me, but I'm good with trees and forests and indoor scenes. I can swing buildings, but nothing too terribly complicated.
Sprites I can make pretty swiftly, even animated ones. Full-body, face, waist-up ... I've tried them all.
Which reminds me, I have three blank nude female templates that I've been thinking of donating to the Alice project ... there's an eye set for two of them, a partial outfit for one, and a complete outfit and hair for the other.

I'll agree with BCS... definitely motivation, along with its cousin, self-discipline. If it was just time, I would have had my NaNoRenO game finished before the end of March. Once I get working on something, if I don't get too distracted, I can often go four or five hours on it and stay productive. But as soon as something else comes along and catches my interest, I may not get back to working on it for hours.
It's not that I don't want to finish my game. It's just that sometimes the investment/reward ratio for working on it can't quite compare to other things with more instant gratification. o_O
Obligatory on-topic comment: Thanks for the reminder about composite images. I just realized one of my characters slides sideways offscreen at one point and her face doesn't come with her...

Meh, I have self-discipline issues too. I wonder if that's just the other side of creativity or some philosophical stuff like that.

I was thinking, perhaps it's the use of the word 'hire'? I kind of thought you meant 'pay money to', and I'm just a poor hobbyist.

Not that I assumed you HAD to mean that, but I didn't want to be rude and assume you didn't, either. Like 'hire' as in 'attach to a project', that is. I'm over-thinking things again, yup. And it's okay either way. I'll shut up now.

I guess I'm a writer and a programmer. I'm definitely no artist.

Well my question was mostly meant to have people state their "job" requirements so the ones with the required talents could step up ^.^. I'm not sure I'll need a writer yet. I'll release a small "teaser" and see if people think I should really stop writing >.>...
Oh, and just in case : I'm mostly coder (no doubt about this one) and artist. I'm not sure about being a good writer yet.

I wonder what the ratio is between writer, artist, coder, composer is on this forum. I am guessing composer being in the low end.
