@ririruetoo - Not just yet, I'll send everyone listed a PM when I have stuffs for them to do. In the meantime though, please do keep posted! Thanks so much for your patience.

As you've probably figured out, I'm very interested in getting everyone's input concerning various aspects of the game, the most important element being the GUI. I've made a slight addition to the GUI that I believe would be more convenient for players, but I've decided to ask for opinions regardless, as to decide whether or not to keep it.

Thanks for following thus far! Still working on events!

Please direct your attention to the bottom of the screen, where I've added a set of buttons that will appear with the say screen.

What do you guys think? Should there be a button menu below the dialogue window? I noticed that a lot of VNs have it, and it does seem more convenient than having to press ESC all the time to access the menu.

it's nice, but it looks unusual .. probably because this is the first time I've seen something like this ^^; (most of the VNs I play has them hidden, except for the skip button, I've seen some that has it available near the dialog box)

I think there should be buttons below. I actually prefer it that way, rather than having to hold the CTRL button for skipping or right-clicking just to save. *is shot for being too lazy*
Besides, the buttons below actually look good underneath the text box. :)

Hmm, those are nice :D
It's always such a good idea to keep buttons there~

The buttons touch the edge of the screen. Ahhh.
Sorry, that's a phobia of mine. :P

In the past I haven't had the buttons ever there, and then everyone said I should for one game, and I did, and now that I have ... I rather like them there. It makes me feel more in control for some reason. These particular buttons probably wouldn't look bad overlapping the bottom of the box.

I agree xD And I think they look slightly less...shiny than the textbox and namebox? xD Maybe it's my eyes...I need to go to the opticians again...
Just my thoughts :)

Thanks for the feedback guys. Normally I'm lost as to what to do with the GUI, so your comments really do help me figure out how to arrange everything as to make for a pleasing and easy-to-use GUI.

I agree that it's a bit...grating having the buttons touch the edge of the screen there, so I decided to make some adjustments. Here they are below.

In the first screenshot, the buttons are completely inside the box. In the second, there is a slight overlap.

Which do you guys prefer?

Again, I'll probably make adjustments if something seems awkward.

I actually like the second one better, but if the dialogue isn't so long I think it would fine to have it look like the first option, so you could show at least a little bit more of the background, etc. Looks neater too X)

And I'm totally looking forward to this *0* Just saying~

I like the second one. It seems like the text box might get too cluttered with the buttons inside it along with the dialogue.

The second one, yeah. Consistency is key - it's too confusing to have the buttons changing places.
