Perhaps these things are already mentioned, but because I don't think so...
I tested the clothes, cause I was curious about the clothes xD And... I found some bugs.

None of the 'Occasional clothing' works.

Special Dresses:
Polka dot, Sparkling dress and checkered dress, Don't work.
The rest does.

PS. I have to mention, I'm not a good Beta tester or anything, I was just kinda bored, so I tested things a little out of curiosity.

Thanks for testing Sollune, but be sure to read the text file included next time ;)

It says that the graphics for the polka dot, sparkling, checkered dresses and the occasional clothing are not yet sprited. They are functional though, but invisible.

I've already found a bug, if you go into Bill's place at 10:20 am, the game freezes. I have a question, how do you talk to people? I've been trying, are conversations not avaible in this beta?

No, this beta has absolutely no dialogue at all, it's for testing purposes. Beta =/= demo.

I'll just post this here again in case more people report the same bug:

Known bugs in beta 0.9

- Staying in Bill’s house (3 hearts) when it hits 10:00 or 14:00 makes you unable to move until the next hour kicks in.

- Seeing James walk out of his home (3 hearts) means you are unable to leave the 2nd floor due to an invisible blockage near the stairs.

- Slight lagging of rain/snow/storm when exiting the menu.

- Despite there only being 100 floors at the digsite, you can still fall through cracks which will let you exceed this number.

- NPCs stop moving if you try to interact with them.

- Bill's schedule can be somewhat inconsistent inside of his house.

- Not dying anything renders the menu inaccessible until you make some yarn, cloth, clothing or go to sleep.

- James's schedule on Monday in District 2 doesn't work correctly.

- In the dress sewing menu, the Flax dress option has permanent arrows on it.

- Rain BGS sound carries over to the titlescreen.

Gorgeous little sprites - and because i already love rpg's and ALSO love harvest moon - u got me hooked line and sinker >_<

Sorry, it's only possible for the PC, not that easy (or should I say impossible?) to convert it to some other hardware, despite it being modeled after Harvest Moon.

hey I have a question what type of mapping did you do for the game?
was it paralaxing or just normal mapping?

I only parallax my maps, especially since the tiles I make are only to be used for parallax mapping :lol:

Parallaxing is actually not that hard, most of it is basically copy & paste. Though I do more complex stuff since I create several tiles specifically for that map.

I'd like to thank everyone who joined in the beta. The bugs that have been found are not fixed, and I even found a few of them myself as I was fixing other bugs.

As for what I've been doing, I'm working on getting all of the bachelors to follow a schedule every day (so that they're in different maps at different times of the day etc). So far Bill, James and Calvin have been programmed. Here are their schedules:

Only Bill and James are included in beta 0.9, just so you know. Here's two screenshots of the schedules in action:

I'm also working on getting the portrait system (which shows a variety of different emotions on a static image) and dialogue system to run smoothly as well. Bachelors say something different depending on the day, season, heart level, location and sometimes the time of day. This is a lot to program, but I've got the bare bones of this system set up, and all it needs are the correct pictures of the portraits, and the dialogue itself. Here's a screenshot of it in action with a placeholder image for the portrait:

The portrait is made up out of 6 different images (eyes, eyebrows, mouth etc.) so that I can render a different portrait in-game with each new dialogue. What you see above is just a placeholder at the moment, but it is build up out of 6 images. So that works at least.

Hopefully by the next beta, 1.0, I will have the portrait system completely up and running (albeit with placeholder images), and have finished at least all of the bachelor's schedules. Dialogue is still out of the question though.

I tried to make a Harvest Moon sort of hybrid myself, but as a visual novel...didn't work too well.
This looks much better, haha.

Seriously, though, the level of details in the sprites and things is simply astounding.

Been following your progress for a while. I'm really impressed by how much work you've done on it so far. I wish I was as hardworking and motivated as you are. XD The concept is really interesting and since I'm also a fan of Harvest Moon games I'm looking forward to playing your game. (I was really happy when I saw that you're going to develop this game and share it to us for free. <3) Good luck and keep up the good work!

Oh yeah. I showed this to my friend and we both agree that the interior of the houses are even better than the ones in the Harvest Moon games XD (we laughed when we saw the videogame consoles in Calvin and Roy's house)
