Winter Shard: The death and rebirth

I have to say that I am being slacking off for a rather long time(When others got their games done and such). So I think I should at least announce the game to boost my motivation. Should be able to finish by end of year(If I am not slacking, that is...).

In a continent, two countries are at war against each other and meet a standstill. When it seems the war will be prolonged, a sudden legion appears out of the night, and the people living in the continent will forever remember the winter as the dreaded 6 months winter.

Genre: Rather bleak
(EDIT: Timezone: Medievil)
Rating: Somewhere around PG15

Included a teaser picture.

Wish me luck, folks.

That's just putting pressure on yourself. :P
Nevertheless... now we know and we're watching you!

Anyway, the story sounds interesting, and judging from the picture, there's ren'ai as well, so it's a promising start. I can only wish you to stay focused and make this a nice addition to the game pool we have.

But of course, in the end, it's up to you. And hey, no slacking off! :wink:

Oh no. a bleak ren'ai... Please don't make it so that I get attached to a character who kicks the bucket @_@;

Much luck with the game ^_^

So I will check back on Dec 31, 2006 11:59pm to make sure you've completed it by the end of the year! BTW, nice CG! :)

Thanks for the warm reply. This guy will try not to disappoint you.(Even if the urge to slack is tearing me apart)

@Monele: Thanks.

@mikey: It is both a pressure and motivation. Let's hope I benefit more from the latter. :P

@Nafai: But alas, I am afraid I cannot really promise you... Please don't hate me when it is so. :o

@RedSlash: Dec 31 2006 at 23hr 59m 59s to be precise. Every seconds counts. :lol:

[EDIT: Add the supposed timezone for this story in the first post.]

Here's a dumped art, which will be reproduced.

Warning a little gorey

It teaches me two things:
1) Bloody drawing is tough.
2) I will be hating drawing dungeons for days to come.

Cool drawing... I just can't draw things well. You're good.

*squint* I like the handprint.

Is the pink/red part of the color scheme for this game?

Honestly, I would have used a dark purple or brown on the stones ... because blood typically dries as a rust color or even black. But if it was a stylistic decision to go more towards monochrome, disregard that.

I don't mind bleak ren'ai ... especially if I know the story is going to have its happy moments too. Even the darkest most horrible dungeon has an exit and an escape route somewhere, right?

All RPGS teach us this ...

@andy: Thanks.

@bcs: Actually I was trying some sort of censorship method with the picture above, but it does not turn out right even with blurry images(And makes it look rather eyesoring.)

Well, I am one guy who believes the world is very rotten, but there are always moments I can cherish. :lol:

I used to have that problem until I used a nifty workaround (see image)
