I uttered the opinion that this would be fairly trivial to implement.
That alone would not have sealed my doom, but for the fact that I have a known weakness for tentacled horrorterrors from befound the known universe and turgid purple prose - and Papillon shamelessly exploited this by handing me a stack of cult descriptions. It therefore followed that I found myself entrusted with much of the implementation. The crude beginnings of my efforts are now playable, albeit poorly tested and likely supporting rather fewer machines than would be ideal.

A small amount of additional polish is planned, but the intent here is a recreational digression rather than a Serious Project. At the moment, it requires bash, pygame, and python 2.6 to be already installed on your computer, and it may well only function at all under Linux, as that is the only system upon which it has been tested. If you're using a relatively-recent Linux or relatively-ancient Linux distribution, you may need to specifically install Python 2.6 - 2.7 and 2.5 will not work.
