If you want to do it and think it will work in the context of the story, by all means go for it! If it's just so you can have a GxG option and it won't improve the story in any way, thought, it would probably be superfluous.
Other than that, this looks cute and promising! I'd love to play it when it's out, so I hope you will finish it. Good luck with it!
(One thing that bothers me a bit is calling the love interests "obtainable". It sounds like they're objects rather than characters. But that might just be me.)
