Recollection [Demo v0.01 is up]

Started doing this today (oct 13, 2011)
Based on my comic (Inconvenient Destiny) and ideas cooking since highschool...
Hopefully, this will Must be done before next year February for a convention.

Theme:
Fantasy/Romance/Humor/Drama

Premise:
Hildegarde's term at the Academy of Practical Arts has ended and she returns to the kingdom of Meria. Devastated by her leave, Siegfried, who hasn't confessed her feelings for her (or confirmed if she felt the same), decided to follow her right away. He secured a researcher job in order to have access in the castle and be close to Hildegarde as much as possible.
One night, they managed to confess feelings to each other and the only thing stopping them from being together is Hildegarde's remaining obligation to serve the army (two years left). According to Merian law, it is forbidden for anyone serving the army to marry for practical reasons.

Siegfried Emery
Age: 20
The only son of the Academy of Practical Arts headmistress. Socially-awkward but his studious attitude seems to be compensating for it. Also a talented magic self-practitioner. Tends to sound like a jerk most of the time because of his awkward social skills. Often teased all the time as a momma's boy back in the academy.

Hildegarde's appearance
Hildegarde
Age: 18
An orphaned girl who was brought up by a high ranking military officer longing for a child. Hildegarde had shown interest in the royal army at a young age and soon followed her stepmother. She enrolled in the Academy of Practical Arts for a year as a requirement for rank promotion.Her forte is using light halberds.
She often sounds reserved and serious when she talks but has a short temper though she doesn't show it that much.

I love heartwarming love story, I hope I can see more details of this one made by you soon. The girl seems so beautiful right now.

Also, do you plan to make it as a kinetic novel or visual novel? I hope it will be the interactive VN style, since I do like them more and would like to play as the male. (based from what I see now, it seems we'll know more about the man's side)

I like how honest Siegfried is. It gives the whole story such a bittersweet feel :]
I aww'd quite a lot. It's a nice thought that if you just up and leave, there'll be someone who follows.

Coming back because I finally had time to focus on the demo and understand it.

I can't judge it yet since it's the first demo. But the sudden slap really shocked me alright (good job on that). But after that I felt things went a little fast. I thought Hilde would be the kind who argues more and maybe let him chase her again.
But even in that kind of atmosphere, Sieg's humor was able to make me laugh.

And it took me awhile to get that it is a military school, I was quite shocked about that fact.

Now I can't wait for the 2nd demo, good luck!

I've decided to use full screen CG's (scrapping the sprites now)
I would like to emphasize more visuals
(that means I should be able to make at least 1 CG per day -gulp-)

Hey guys, I'm actually alive.

I rearranged the script (to follow different endings) but unfortunately it's gonna require revamping everything.

The post above will be eventually purged but I'll leave the demo for comparison once the revamp is up

Nice attention to details in your drawings. I like the slight movements in body posture and the expression you fill in those eyes. Makes it feel really alive.
