Of course, color wouldn't make sense, starting with the name, actually. I was just wondering whether those graphics were left in their directories on purpose, or whether they've been forgotten. A technical question.

EDIT: I am referring to the color versions of backgrounds which are in the three story directories alongside the b/w ones.

The initial BGs were sent in color to denzil, as to gauge whether they're the sort he's looking for. Subsequent BGs and latest revisions were just delivered in grayscale. So as far as the question goes, denzil does not have current color versions. So he has nothing to currently put into bonus. In any case anything colored within the game subdirectories are extraneous (not to mention old) and actually should be deleted from the final.

Now, I believe Ren'Py has a grayscale feature so technically we should be able to use just one set of (color) images. But at this point, separate images and their added filesize are negligible.

Monotype Corsiva is a general built-in (Microsoft?) font
Remember not everyone is running Windows :)

I should point out that Corsiva isn't a standard font or Linux or Mac. So if you'd like your game to be usable on those platforms, I suggest sticking to fonts you can redistribute.

Ren'Py doesn't currently have a grayscale feature. At some point in the future, I might implement it, probably in some sort of matrix-based way... but it hasn't been done yet. Right now, we can only map one channel at a time.

Yes, I'd like. It will be a nice addition to bonus.
DaFool wrote:As for character art, the question becomes one of consistency.
I would't be afraid of that. You three have different styles, so it's already inconsistent. Not that I think it's a problem. I actually think it suits the game quite well.

Ant that's why I asked about the font being free. As it's windows only font I will stay with Ren'Py default font.

I have nothing more to add. Current readme is fine by me.

Looking good, I can't wait till release.

Same here, my hands are off the steering wheel now... good luck with the release.

Me too, everything looks good. Release, ahoy!

Also, after you release the game, may I post the first-story's girl pictures on my art site?

I'd also like to include a link to the game, wherever it will finally be hosted.

Go on.

I'm posting this here so as not to clutter the game thread. There's a glitch in the linux release that prevents it from working, because the directory has a space in the name. The fault is my own, and I'll release a fix when I'm more awake.

I replaced it with underscore, so it should work now.

I've been gone for a week, so I couldn't add in on all this - fortunately I didn't really have anything to say anyway :P
Yes my character drawings were originally done in colour. I will probably upload that to my DA, if we are allowed ^^

I think I'll go try the finished version right away then!

In the release thread. Or here.

Of course you are.
