I'm trying to do a late submission for a module, but in all honestly I'm still completely confused about what I actually need to do so it all ties together. I think the OP needs to be clearer on this. I still don't really know what the premise of the wider story is and what I need to do to make my module fit. I'm doing it with my characters.

You don't need to worry about your module fitting in with the overarching story since your characters will not know why they are in whatever setting your choose for your module. The writers on the core team will take care of tying all the modules in with the overall storyline. You just need to write your module with your characters in a setting according to the theme of TV shows (can be parodies). This is the thread for module rules (if you haven't seen it already). Feel free to ask more questions if you're still confused about something.
