Teaser:
A man who has been in prison for the last seven years for a crime he didn't commit.
An intelligent boy who lost his parents in a car accident and is blind ever since.
A girl with wealthy parents, who is bored all the time and in fact is an excellent computer hacker.
Soon all three will be part of a crazy game, where people watch over other people. Where players need to help each other. Where people might die.
Will they work together? Will they betray each other?
Will they find out what's actually going on in this city?
So...what's so special about this game?
The game is a visual novel in every aspect; Most of the story is told by dilagues of text, coupled with background images and foreground characters and simple sound effects and music. Players will be able to pick certain choices the characters make, wich has an influence on the story; the story has multiple endings. However, it does not stop here. There are two main characters, and the vieuwpoint of the story will switch between them frequently. One of these two main characters happens to be blind. The chapters told from his point of vieuw will be told like an audio drama!
This means that you see nothing on the screen, but you hear everything that happens: All actions, everything that is said, everything the main character things, background music, etc.
Can you tell me more about the characters?
Well... not very much. Right now, they don't have any names yet.
Also, I do not want to give away too much about the plot, so I cannot go in detail.
But here you go:
Character 1:
A man who has committed some crimes in his past. He has been in prison for seven years, for a crime he did not commit.
He wants to change his life to have other people actually like him.
He has milimetered hair, is kind of big, broad sholders, and looks kind of scary. He has dark-brown eyes.
About 30 years old.
Character 2:
A boy of about 21 years old. He became blind by a car accident wich killed his parents and sister, leaving him all alone.
He is extremely intelligent and likes strategic games. He seems to be very caring at others, but he does not like to talk about himself. He has short blond hair wich always is a mess, no matter how much he brushes his hair.
Character 3:
A girl of about 21 years old. She is the daughter of two very wealthy parents, and as such she was expected to behave like a 'young lady'. She did not like this at all, wich made her search for other hobbies. She became extremely interested in computers, and is a very good computer hacker.
She loves manipulating people.
She has long brown hair, with most of the time two curls at both sides of her face.
How far has this game been developed right now?
Not far. I have a general plotline in my mind, and partly written out. I have a general idea of how I want the main characters to be. But no detailed parts of the story have been written yet. No art. No music. No audio drama.
Yet.
Creating a full-fledged game out of this idea will probably take forever, or at least a lot of time, and also very much work and energy. But I think it might be worth it. I would really like the opinions of other people about this. This is something that I'm sure of I'm unable to make alone, so I really hope to find other people who are excited about this idea.
