Hi, everyone. My team is currently working on a VN game based on the classic fairytale of Cinderella. If you ever wished that Cinderella would take fate into her hands, find a way to retake her residence from the evil stepmother, and ditch the prince in favor of the handsone captain of the guard, it's a game for you .
The game is going to be a bit different. It's not done in manga, but more of the golden age of illustration style. We're aiming for some high quality graphics with animated backgrounds, characters and special effects.
The project is under steady development and should be available this summer for Mac and PC. We plan to release a small demo next month, to see what you guys think about it. The final game will be commercial.

It will be a classic VN with lots of choices and multiple endings. The story will be a more edgy re-telling of Cinderella. With focus on the characters (no simply evil sister and stepmother) and choices the protagonist can take.

Maybe is only worth pointing out that the game is not being developed in Renpy (since is the most common tool used here some people might think so) but in Gamemaker.
...This game... I would play it in a heartbeat. I'm a HUGE sucker for fairytale adaptions (is that really a surprise to anyone though LOL, just look at the games I make) And this art is so LUSH and I love the style, and that title screen makes me squee with much happiness.
I cannot wait to see this when it is released, and you can bet I will gobble up the demo.

I love the title screen, the background and the character art is really something!(though I'm not sure I completely like how the face is shaded, but that's jut me and my personal tastes)

When I read fairy tales back then, I loved how pretty the illustrations are. I'm glad you didn't take the anime style approach because there's a unique beauty in the style you're using.

I really like the art you are using for this. It really meshes with the fairytale feel to things. I am interested to where you take this, especially her step family since it looks like you want to flesh them out a bit.
Yeah, we wouldn't want them to be simply evil. That would be boring. They are going to be sinister of course, but we want to give them some good motivation. Maybe even allow Cinders to become friends with them, or at least learn to respect their motives.

I really like the style you pick, this will definitely give a different impact than the average fairy tail which I always associated with sparkly and happy. This looks awesome! Especially that cinderella could turn badass.

I always loved stories or games that were based on fairytales and introduced some new twist, so deciding about the outcome is best case scenario.
