Wow. Interesting concept. And the main character is just my type made her tsundere and I am owned
I'd like to see some preview of artwork too, since I found that to me the artwork is one of vital appealing point at VN's.

oh, and do we get tutorial for the math? I'd like to play but unless it's basic math--I am afraid if it required me to use a math book IRL LOL

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this story concept. It will help to know some things about your world, such as...

1. What is the role of magic in society? Is it ordinary and accepted? Is it uncommon and only used by a few people? Is it feared and dangerous?

2. Likewise, what do people think of non-magical knowledge? Is it considered normal and usually beneficial? Are some concepts considered unknowable? Can knowledge lead to madness?

3. What exactly is "the illusion"? It sounds like a deity with considerable power but a personality that's capricious at best, and possibly becoming tainted by evil.

I agree about the art being really important, but I'm focusing more in the writing at the moment.

About the math, it won't be necessary for the player to solve the problems. But they'll still be there, with the respective explanations for those who want them. Sometimes Etel just reads some math and comments on it.

Yeah, it is strange because there are too many branches going in too many different directions.
In the game itself it will be optional for the player to either focus on the protagonist or in the mysteries of her world, but still, here's some background info if you want it:

1. Magic pretty much replaces technology and science. Their scholars know that some of the laws of their world don't make sense so magic seems to patch things up. They can't really learn much about biology, astronomy, physics or chemistry because their world is just that strange. They are somewhat aware of their existance in other worlds, though, but those worlds are seemingly unreachable by everyone but the illusion.
People learn or buy spells to help with daily things, but developing spells is generally considered as too much trouble and not worth it in most situations.

2. Knowledge is very appreciated by most people, mainly because the founders and the illusion considered knowledge as something of vital importance. Since magic provides people with most needs, they are expected to work for the improvement of their land. The Grand Sorceress (leader of the church, one of the founders of the world, and the person who created life after being granted powers by the illusion) watches everyone and punishes those who are selfish or otherwise not considered 'good people' by her. There is a village that is not being watched by her, but people there don't get their magic recharged like everyone else, and since technology is still out of most people's grasp, it's not considered a good idea to go there.

3. The illusion is mostly unconscious of its own actions. He was sent by someone from another world, but he's unaware of who was it, or why. His goal is understanding why.
