@Fairy Godfeather: Haha, thanks! Chibis have sort of unintentionally become what I'm best at. And yeah, don't worry-- I was never actually going to have it be a love potion. I just didn't know what I wanted to do at that point (I was playing with the idea that it would do different things based on ingredient choices, but that ended up being more complicated than I wanted) so I ended the original description there. It was only natural to think that's what I was going for, but I agree with you-- love potions are tricky business.

@Kessie: Thank you! I'm glad you like the rivalry idea! I thought it would make things more interesting. It should be entertaining anyway!



Updates in general: I've been working on the script so while there isn't much to show you, I've actually been working on it. It is now about 50% done.

Okay, almost done with the script. I just need to write out the endings now. I'm going to try to get that done tonight. After that I plan on redoing the character sprites and once that's done I'll start a new thread in the works in progress section. I know it's been more than an idea for awhile now, but I wanted to get a lot of the work done before moving it there so people don't have to wait in anticipation for so long.

Anyway, I do have a picture to show you this time. I'm trying a slightly more complicated coloring style that hopefully people will like. Anyway, this is what the main menu of the game is going to look like (I figured out image maps! Yaaaaaay!) :

And it does change a bit when you scroll over the buttons!

you might want to up the opacity of the buttons since right now that side of the screen is a little busy but otherwise it looks good! Can't wait to see more.

I love the look of that title screen. Other than the transparancy on the buttons it looks great. I love Mira's expression, how she really does look like she's about to have a mishap. And given how low-cut her top is she'd better hope that the cauldron doesn't splash all over her.

I like the new Odette too. I do prefer the chibis, there's something so cute about them, but the larger drawings are good too. I can't choose!

I'm looking forward to playing.

@Fairy Godfeather: My chibis are really popular for some reason. Haha. Maybe I should do an all chibi game at some point. Anyway, don't worry. You don't have to choose. I'll most likely include some chibi art in the actual game. And yay! I'm glad you think that about Mira's expression! It was what I was going for!

@Vilhelmina: Thanks! I hope it meets your expectations! I certainly tried to make it fun and entertaining. I don't even know anymore though since I've looked at the script so much.
