THE STORY
Once upon a time, I met a prince... the Prince of Nigeria. Throughout his lovely poetry and wonderful serenades of emails, I couldn't help but fall in love with him. Too bad falling in love with a prince isn't all flowers and bunnies as fairytales claimed - we were playing a dangerous game of passion, wildfire and strife. What awaited us both was a story of heartbreak, of tragedy, of broken romance, and deer droppings...

(Yes, I'm kind of grumpy about not having much access to my tablet these days, and so I'm playing around with the idea of doing a quick - super quick - spastic little project with no art assets other than my random shoddily filtered photographs in retaliation.)

Haha, I hardly think a 15-20 minute game can sell - and if it were any longer, the jokes would wear out. XD But I am going to make it all out of self-created resources though. Just as a challenge. And no drawing.

Thanks, guys! As a question - would you guys rather the emails appear as an nvl message, or a screenshot of the email itself?

The former would facilitate changeable protagonist names...

There is probably a way to make the NVL message look like a screenshot. It might take a bit of nit-picky coding, but I bet you could use the screenshot as a base, erase the message area, and position the NVL window over just that area so you can change messages easily without making fifty billion images.

Oh, sounds great! Do you have a tutorial or something like that?

By the way, would anyone mind if I make this a "Pay-what-you-want" game? As in, it can still be for free. But if you pay, say, just a dollar or more for it, you can gain access to unique features, routes and endings such as becoming a money-launderer.

Is 800px × 413px the size of your window? Or is it 800 x 600?
