Ah, no, about that... Most of the characters still have their own routes with their own endings. Now, however, almost all of them have their stories intertwined with another character's. What this means is that they will share some events, although there's so many differences in Ruri's route that they're almost completely seperate regardless...

Two of the other characters that I've planned, though, will have routes that merge early on and are identical from then onwards, sharing an ending. Basically, apart from a few exceptions, it's almost like all characters have their own routes in the end anyway...

So there *will* be endings that combine two characters. At least one :). But I'm glad that it's not the global case ^^

Since uni's over ive started more for this. Currently I'm doing charis in the uniform character pics and they are about halfway done (7/15) Heres an example of how the newer ones look and a comparison pic to the older ones.

Thats all charis' 2nd costume pictures done in the slightly upgraded style though it turned out we only needed 13 rather than 15.
Ill probably be getting some frames done today for the newer days that have been written so the arts starting to get done again for ruris route now.

It's very cartooony, and not in a bad way. It reminds me of the sort of think you'd see as a background in one of the old Lucasarts adventure games.

This was more or less my first thought, as well.

I really like it, Sapphire. C: The colors are very bold; there's lots of depth and line thickness. Buuut... when the two girls are on it, they look really, really small. o_O; I think it's because of that stand behind the nun (AAH, FORGOT HER NAME).

Anyway, I finished the demo a while ago (er, like, a month ago?), but didn't comment. XD; But now I'm going to!

I'm really, really looking forward to the game, Septimus! I love the visual effects such as the borders scrolling into screen when someone is going to appear. The writing is extremely well done, too! It's written in such a way that when I'm playing, I don't feel the need to rush into the story like I usually do when I play VNs. I love all the characters~~ (Except the blacksmith's girl. o_o; I found her really annoying when she got mad, for, like, no real reason. XDD)

Me likes :D I guess it does look like old adventure games backgrounds :), though I don't know if I'd point at Lucas Arts or some other company. It looks nice in any case ^^

As for the characters not integrating in the bg : that's why they use black bars. They're not shown as if they were in the background, just over it, hence why proportions are off. But I guess it's not as noticeable in other parts of the original demo (or my memory fails me).

Monele says the exact reason. The main reason for doing it like this is that I just wanted bgs in a perspective for what I thought would look nice rather than being stuck to a meter of open space with an eyeline horizon.
If it seems weird to you though I hope its less weird in the game when the bars are shown going across the screen.

Well, it's been a while since my last update so here we go. I've just finished one of the major scenes of Ruri's route and there's just the finale left to do! At last my script is coming to completion! If you want an idea of the size then just check my signature, I update it every time I finish a day.

Yeah, so it's quite a lot, that wordcount does include the demo though. Time for the big climax! I won't bother giving an estimated release date because I can't say exactly how long this part is going to be. In any case, I'll be sure to write it as well as I can. Sapphire Dragon's also started on the new artwork, as you've seen above, so we're making progress! Time to get writing the final chapter, until next time!
